No worries here! One must attend to their own lives firstly! I hope the "engagements" were of a happy or at least interesting sort.

Thank you all!
Had some serious oral surgery.
(at least I was able to have it a few days ago instead of late July!)
Unexpected complications abounded.
Still in a lot of pain but glad that the worst is over!
Even with novacaine it was absolutely horrible!
Heh heh, I broke the arm off the dental chair in my efforts to not hit the ceiling.
Still having other troubles but am, and will address them all one at a time when and as finances allow.
Well this ordeal has caused weight loss which is a great benefit!
OK...lucidity is fast fading...so until later!
BIG HUGS TO ALL OF YOU!

Thank you Winged Leo.
The 12 stitches are painfully pulling before dissolving and swelling is awfully painful today despite Vicodin and Loricet, but all part of the normal healing process after surgery which exposed bone, muscles, and nerves to air.

Thank you!
Still in the recovering stages.
Pain kept me up on and off all night despite meds.
Swelling down a bit more,
and facial bruising almost gone.

In retrospect, still laughing about how the look on the oral surgeon's face was priceless when he got done with the surgery and I handed him the arm I had broken off of the chair.
Then I mumbled "do I have to pay for this?"

Sorry you've been thru so much.
I've had a really bad ear ache once and seriously thought I'd probably be better off dead...seriously. So for you to endure that kind of pain as long as you have...yikes.

The arm chair bit cracked me up lol.
Last time I was at the dentist office, they gave me a little dixie cup of water to rinse my mouth with and I was shaking so bad, the cup was splashing water out. I had to use both hands on this itty bitty cup to take a sip lol. I HATE the dentist!!

Anyway, hope you feel better soon (((HUGS))).

Thank you!

LOL! It was not an arm chair but the heavy duty dental chair! Ripped the arm rest etc. right off!

OMG! Earaches with jaw bone and dental troubles is a major nightmare!
9 weeks I think so far, middle/inner ear infections, jaw bone infection, leading to abscesses, kinda all related.
And OMG the freaking screaming headaches and facial/neck spasms!
And shaking so bad it was hard to walk even aided.
And yeah, the pain is so bad one cannot believe one is not dying!
Sorry you experienced that too.
Well in the days before antibiotics I would have died.....so I am grateful despite the agony and dopies from meds, that it is all curable these days!
~Sigh~ more dental and ENT troubles to take care of, but not until I am recovered from this run.
OK...on that note off to hot and cold pack and meds.

Hope you are healing well and that your days are getting brighter!

I had an "alien rooted" tooth extracted a couple months ago, after just paying for a crown this past December. I know tooth, jaw, & sinus pain is no cup of tea, to put it mildly. Your strength is amazing and inspiring LEXX! Even the chair incident supports your incredible show of strength.

Wellness to you!

I hope your recovery is still coming along. I was tickled that you ripped the armrest off. Had they been in the room at the time, many people who've been to the dentist would have cheered you on! I can't believe how much you have gone through and thank goodness for antibiotics!

Have been mostly unable to post for days.
Kept getting an error message.

Thank you Musette, teasel, and Mysticknowflake

Still a ways to go yet, because the surgery into the jaw bone takes time to heal and discovered a new painful thing.....
even when the outer parts look healing and closed, the inside can have a version of "dry socket".........no fun. :-(
Things are healing but still on pain meds and antibiotics for a few more weeks.
Yes Musette,

quote:
thank goodness for antibiotics!
I can most definitely
see how in the pre-antibiotic times how such ills could kill. Or make one kill themselves. Yes, the pain is that bad.
I had my 3/4 severed thumb sewed back on without pain killers and it was nothing by comparison to this oral agony.
(mixed with ear infections to boot)

Hi LEXX,

I hope you are feeling better. I still owe you an e-mail. Things have been crazy on my end with a few volunteer projects and our 3 1/2 month old lab. LOL... He keeps me on my toes.

LEXX, I hope you haven't had to deal with and dry sockets as those are horribly painful from what I understand. I can believe that even those with high pain-thresholds such as yourself raise a white flag to tooth/jaw problems. Are you making progress and feeling any better?

BearsArcher, a lab puppy = pure love.
