YIN! I've moved on to Dr. Pepper, since that's what they have at work. and Starkiss, you are jealous of my rug burns, cause they rocked the boat, and you know it.! Musette, yes, oh my, everything I learned about life, most certainly came from John Travolta in one movie or another. If it weren't for that pesky scientology thing he's into.... hmmm, I say we convert him!! We can tie him up with vines to the mast of the ship, and whip him with with peacock feathers until he screams, "OK, OK, I AM A PAGAN!!!!" *Was that outloud? oops. IP: Logged |

NOT JOHN TRAVOLTA!!!! No, I never did it with HIM on a boat. But I have done "it" on a boat! Does that make me some kind of special member?Like the thirty knots club or something? (What do they measure water depth in? Knots? right, or not?) *sigh* IDK!!!!!!!! IP: Logged |

Wasn't talking about travolta. Neither of us would be allowed anywhere close to his boat, me thinks! IP: Logged |

Halloween! By far! I hate Christmas. I love going to every haunted house I can find. October is my fave month, too. I stretch Halloween out all month long.------------------ "I have found a desire within myself that no experience in this world can satisfy; the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world." -C.S. Gypsee, I like the thirty knots club title! My favorite holiday is Halloween/Samhain. I collect Halloween themed decorations and I start my decorating early in September so I can enjoy them as long as possible. I also like Christmas but only because of all the cooking and good family time we have. We try to keep it low-stress in my family, though, and I feel for those who have families with a lot of pressure during the winter holidays. Many of my friends go through it. IP: Logged |

I start decorating in Sept for Halloween too!And I don't take it down till after the first week of November. I'm just a Halloween kinda girl The air is crisp, but yet, sometimes still warm. There is a certain excitement, lots of festivity, and a little bit of mischief. Good mix. Xmas is ok, but, there is alot of pressures with that one. Money is an issue, and who goes where with whom, as to not upset who, and all that drama. I don't like drama. I just want to stay home, eat a bunch of food, go to Midnight Mass (on Xmas eve), watch the original Scrooge and pass out, but that never fits everyone else's plans for me, so I end up feeling resentful, and I just don't like it that much. Too commercial, the meaning is missing for me anymore. Halloween is just pure fun, I love that.! IP: Logged |

I absolutely LOVE Halloween!! It's got this energy about it that pulls me in. I love the idea that for one day out of the year you can be whatever/whoever you want to be and not be considered a complete fool. Gypsee... Me too!! If I could afford it I would get the good decorations.. I have it all planned out in my head. I'd get the fog machines..yes multiple fog machines. Someday when I win the lotto I'll get it all! Yes, Im a geek <raises hand> And I agree about Christmas. I don't really believe in it anyway. Plus it is a ton of stress. IP: Logged |

Wink, the best way to build up a nice Halloween decor collection is to get up early on November 1st (Ugh! I know! But I just get up and throw my hair up and stumble out of the house) and hit up the post-holiday sales. Target usually has darling things and they go down to 75% off right away. All the costume shops generally start their sales the week before Halloween to get their merchandise moving, and you can get some big prop items there. Usually by the day of they are down to 50% off. I've only bought a few things pre-clearance, so my collection was actually really cheap to get. The only store that I haven't seen do good discounts is Hallmark, which is a shame since I love the Spookytown stuff but it's so expensive. IP: Logged |

I love Halloween. One of my favourites, was in 2003, when we had a beautiful, hot day, that ended up with a warm evening (and a small wind that added the odd chill/blew the leaves, added to the effect). Perfect for trick-or-treating.IP: Logged |
