..... about you.

C'mon fess up, and keep it going.
We already probably know each other better than our peeps in RL, so why not?

K, I'll start...

A weird fact about me is that my food has to be room temp for me to eat it.
This poses a problem, especially when going to a restaurant. Everyone orders and digs in and I sit there waiting for my food to get to room temp.

Told you these are weird facts.

Why do I do it? IDK!! The food tastes better when it 'sets up' if that makes sense.

K, now YOU!

This is good. I'm certain I have strange quirks like this myself, but I can't think of them at the moment. I'll get back to you.

Oh! Here's one: I can cross just one of my eyes if I like while retaining the ability to move the other one.

I can wiggle my ears and nose.
And not that fake nose wiggle like Bewitch, or nose flaring;
but just like a rabbit or other animals do.
I can do inch worm movements with my toes.
When I have a sore gunky congested chest/throat, I gargle with Coca Cola.
It works!Even when thin, my belly button is an innie.
I always wore vintage 1920s to 1940s men's suits in my senior year of high school, with spats and or men's sock garters, and wingtip shoes.
Fun thread!
PS. I agree about the food, except for medicinal fire soups.

I slept as a teen, in the coal bin, or on the slab wood in the cellar;
rather than in the two bedrooms used by me and my 9 siblings.
The cellar with its huge old Bessemer was much more peaceful and private than being with my siblings.

I saw your edit, lexx.

OMG about the cellar. wow! You are a brave soul, cellars creep me out totally!!!

I also used to eat raw hamburger meat when I was a kid.
Turned out I had a serious vitamin deficiency, but my Grandparents didn't believe in doctors, so we didn't know.

Every time my Gma would make meatballs, she would count them out and put them on a metal pie plate to freeze some, and when she did, one would always be missing.
She thought she was losing it, until she caught me munching away on the steps.

EWWW, now that I think of it, that's disgusting. I can't even eat a steak unless it's super well done, as in burnt!

I thought of one. I used to drink strong tea, when I was younger, but over the years, I've grown to be very specific with the amount of milk I put into it. I use a large mug - around 12oz, for the first mug of the days (I usually have two a day, at most), and I add twenty-five teaspoons of milk to it.

That would have grossed me out when I was younger, but my stomach and nervous system can't handle it the way I used to drink it. My dad teases me about it: "Why don't you have some tea with your milk?"

My mother ate raw liver when she was younger, up until the time she was eating some as she looked into the bathroom mirror: some of the juice (blood? ick) dripped into the sink and when she saw it, she felt sick.

At times, when the weather is warm and I want something to happen, I'll walk around the table on the deck, three times, as I recite my wish - my own quick little ritual. I'll walk counter-clockwise, and recite the wish again with each new round.

I'd like to go ghost hunting, but don't want a ghost in my own home. I'm a chicken, and would rather not come across one...

Oh Teasel;

I have those mini O.C.D. things!
For example, when I kiss my kids or grandson on the cheek... say I kiss his left cheek five times, I HAVE to kiss the right one five times because I feel like the one cheek would notice the difference and feel less loved.

That is NUTS!!!! But I do it!!!

I'm not much of a clean-freak and my stuff is arranged around my room in chronological order of height(read: clutter)

I'm an avid tea/coffee drinker and just yesterday had 35 ounces of tea

I often sleep with my eyes open.

Even though disabled, I can by bending at the hips, and locking my knees,
put my hands flat on the floor too.
I can still do the splits.

I wear silky boxers.

Spiders creep me out.

I could never skip rope.

I love hot peppers too...even in cocoa.

I would still eat coal if I could find any of my favorite kind.

As an adult, the heaviest I have been is 400+ pounds,
and the thinnest 94 anorexic pounds.

I've slept in trees, caves, roofs, and snow drifts.

I cannot cut holding scissors correctly...must point them towards me holding them backwards.

Wild animals come to me.

I have milk with a little tea or coffee.

ahhhhhh you guys are awesome!

It runs in my family to be able to touch your tongue to your nose. I used to be able to until I had jaw surgery for TMJ. I had to have my jaw broken, then they took an inch of bone from my bottom jaw, moved my jaw back and re attached it with a plate and screws.
Now I can't do that anymore

Another family trait..
My toes. On the toe next to the big toe. It's much longer than my other toes.
On my mom's side of the family. They call them Dimond toes after my mom's maiden name...Dimond, which is pronounced Diamond...
I'll have to snap a shot sometime. That would be a fun thread

As for eating raw meat. When I was little I would sneak in the kitchen at night and eat raw bacon. And my mom couldn't figure out why I kept getting worms lol. Until later when she caught me in the act.

When I was little I was scared to death to see a ghost or to have God show himself to me. So I would lay there in my bed and tell the ghosts and God not to show themself to me because I'd be too scared lol.

Also when I was around 8 ish I was so desperate to have friends and so worried that I'd never get married (yeah well I was little) that I sat in my bed one night and told the Devil that he could have my soul if he gave me a husband by the time I was in my 20's. I think I got the idea from a horror movie....

Wink, when I had a certain spooky experience five years ago - August of 2005 - I curled up on my bed, and said something like this, to whatever might have been there: "If you want to talk to someone, could you please go to somebody else?? Thank you very much!"
A few hours later, my mother woke up, and saw my deceased Uncle K. at the end of her bed, in a white suit that she didn't even know he'd owned (his daughter later confirmed that his favourite suit was a white one).

Gypsee, I went outside to do my little wish thing, and found the table gone. This was me, briefly:
I don't know where it is, so I'll have to substitute something else.

I've got that, too.

Another one of mine would be my ability to raise either eyebrow independently.

oh teasel that's so odd about your table being gone..
I wonder if someone saw you doing that and thought they'd play a prank on you lol.

AG..
I sat here and tried that eyebrow thing and as I'm right handed I can only raise my right brow. That's freaky that you can do both!

I am double jointed in my elbows, so I can make my arm look broken...
