For me, seeing the bees buzzing about my door and windows lets me know pollen is on the way. And birds chirping in the early morn is a sure sign. Linda believed that the birds tell the flowers it's time to bloom by their singing. What a lovely thought that is. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Today felt like summer. Well, I do declare, that Georgia humidity can be sweltering. *fans self* I like watching bumblebees play chase with each other. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Thanks Gypsee. Yeah, I decided this is my home and never want to see snow or live through another winter like the one we had ever again. I'm too sensitive to it and it's very depressing to me. So i'm back down here and got the little house I was hoping to.Have already started planting things in the yard even though I have half unpacked boxes everywhere and tons of work to do inside. lol There's already a rose bush, hibiscus, banana tree and orange trees (they are sickly though) and some others. I've got a ton of seeds I want to plant too. How's everything up where you are? Hope it's warming up and the sun's staying out more often. IP: Logged |

That sounds great T, you and me, always packing and unpacking boxes, or so it seems. Takes a special sort of soul to live that way, don't you think. I hope everyone is well! I had to leave my trailer today and spend some time at my ex's to warm up! It's very strange not having heat, and boy, did I ever take it for granted all the time. Now I wake up in the night and feel like a fish stick! BRRRRRR. I guess there is always a price to pay for freedom, so I won't complain. It's supposed to snow today and accumulate 1-3 inches. I looked at the advanced forecast, and we don't hit 50 degrees until April 2! I hope that changes, even my dog has shivers! Send me some rays from Georgia, Florida, SA, wherever you are! Please!!! Arg indeed. It is 5 below this a.m. and the snow so deep. Spring went back to sleep and winter snuck in the back door. ------------------ ~The Earth Laughs In Flowers~ ... Emerson IP: Logged |

Sorry to hear that Gypsee. I really do feel your pain. Sending some of this warmth your way....& yeah, it does take a special kind of soul. But i'm very tired of it and hope to settle down here for quite some time. Hope things turn around for you very quickly. IP: Logged |

*bump*------------------ "All deaths are suicides, do you realize that? Every single one. The only distinction is that, with some people, suicide is a subconscious choice, and with others it's a conscious choice. Otherwise, those who commit suicide and those who succumb to accident, illness or "old age," die for exactly the same reason: belief in the inevitability of death." Linda Goodman IP: Logged |

I don't know what it's like Stateside, but here in (nearly) sunny Wales, it's warming up nicely. The frogs have spawned in our pond, the bees are busy and all the birds are collecting for their nests. We had a horrendous winter - the worst in 100 years apparently, and you can see the look of sheer relief on everybody's faces now everything has thawed. Sending wishes of speedy spring vibes!!IP: Logged |

That sounds wonderful snarly. The relief on everyone's faces that is. I can almost picture it.I saw the news yesterday, and the newscaster caught a lady walking around downtown. (it was snowing yesterday, mind you) and she was wearing layers of clothing, with a big coat that had a furry collar, plus a big hat, with... Sandals and no socks!! (huh?) When asked about her strange garb, she said, "I overcompensate on the top for what is going on down below." I think weather brings out the weirdness in some folks, as well as the murderousness in others. lol. Seriously, it's funny but true. More murders are committed during extreme heat, and more suicides during cold. I find things like this very interesting! OH, and I want to tell you guys some stuff (fascinating, I swear!) that I read about Eskimos! But I left the book at home, and now I'll have to wait until I get back over here to use the net. But, I got a book about Eskimos from the library, cos I thought it would help me to not feel sorry for myself! T* lovely girl, I do hope for you to be settled and happy now, in your new home!! Do you still have suns and moons hanging in it? I thought of you when I hung my sun and moon pictures in my bathroom, and that was weird b/c it was before you came back to posting. No accidents, right?

when i lived in Chicago, you know there can be pretty heavy snow in the city there, and one winter, i was just coming out of the subway and spotted an older woman... she was probably homeless or very poor. she had her big heavy 2nd-hand fur coat, with... a straw hat!and i thought, "wow! that's gonna be the next big thing! this style'll be on the cover of Vogue and in the Paris collection on the cat walk and all that!" ok, it didn't, but i just thought that was simply brilliant... so spring time... in our court yard, the caretaker had trimmed the branches of some of the trees and there were cut down branches with fresh green buds coming out. i took them inside and put them in a vase (well, a beer mug...). now spring is in my room! Hi Gyps. No, I don't have much from before. I've had to start completely over and it feels good to. Glad to hear you are settling in somewhere new, too, if that's even possible for a gypsy! & no, no accidents....ever.

The earth is "trying" to laugh in flowers. I see a frost burnt yellowish daffodil peeking through the dredges of snow. She is a hardy soul so I have faith she will bloom. Hope springs eternal ------------------ ~The Earth Laughs In Flowers~ ... Emerson IP: Logged |
