And I can agree about wanting people to share your interests. I love it when that happens in my life. However, I kind of try more to find people who already have the interests rather than try to get them interested in something. I like for people to be open to trying new things, but the thing that always makes me hesitate is that I'd have to reciprocate. Now, I wouldn't mind reciprocating in some circumstances, but in others, not so much--it would depend.

Lovely vid!
You're right; it's easier to make friends based on a common interest than to entice your friends to your interests. I am not expecting them to like what I like necessarily, but at least not criticize it when you know I love it and when you know nothing about it, u know?
Why does reciprocating scares you? Most of the times your friends just want you along for the ride, don't really care that you fall in love for the same things. At least that's the case with me. I am my own good company; if anyone wants to join, great. But I can do without anyone joining because I truly have my own interests and that's enough for me. I just hate it when my so called friends "antagonize" me or argue against my interests. It's like I have to choose between them or what I like to do. Not nice. You know?

I'm not 100% ONE or the OTHER. I'm so into ALL of it. I'm a scientist with a phd in my field AND at the same time a reader with a love for astrology, divination, who loves and has seen (and heard) angels, AND I'm not nuts. LOL

I don't have a PhD, but I'm the same way. Capricorns in general are usually open to both modern science and ancient science.

It's not hard to test the theories of astrology and notice how your experiences will confirm their validity. The weird thing is, when information gets stigmatized, like astrology is, many people won't even look at it.

Basically, I've found that people born in the winter are more open to astrology. My Aquarian brother and his Pisces wife are not "into" astrology, but they can't make it through a conversation without tying things together with astrological references and birthday talk.

When I'm talking to winter-born person, I expect more latitude with all "new age" topics, because they usually grant it.

Like, consider how Reagan, Aquarius, let his wife dictate his schedule with astrology. Some other signs wouldn't tolerate that.

Regardes, I didn't sleep well last night...maybe that's why I'm having no luck finding the "How have squares changed you life?" thread. I'll meet you there when I find it...we are mid-conversation!

And my Mercury in Aquarius trines yours so no wonder I feel like yammering ond an on to you.

Edit: I just edited this, trying for better clarity. So in case the post seemed to morph in front of anyone's eyes....that's why. Although I don't think it's much clearer anyway.

Faith, I'm glad you found it. I was just coming here to look for the string and copy and paste it for you on your other thread.

Ironically, the guy friend I'm talking about is a Jan born Cappie so lol the "rule" about "winter born people" doesn't apply in his case.
I don't do well with "rules" i.e. generalizations because to me it's a numbers game. Anyone can disprove a "rule" that says "all people who are X are also Y". You can't count ALL people on planet earth, so forget it. For me, it's a matter of patterns and that's where science comes in.

Anyway. Yeah, it's not pretty when someone is so closed off to the numerous possibilities of the Universe and of the Life of the Mind. I'm not one of those people and could never be. For this Aqua rising, the weirder the theory the higher the curiosity.
But I also want to see substance and if what I see or read is just words in thin air, forget it. But I am open to theories and I acknowledge the possibility of something outrageous even when it lies outside my mental capacity. I would rather be free and open than refuse to acknowledge the things I don't understand.

LOL, oh it just figures that you were talking about a Cappie. Is he born after January 10th? (Cap III in the Goldschneider system.)

My Cap III friend is skeptical of astrology. She confirms and re-confirms everything with experts.

True, they're not rules, *patterns*, as you said.

interesting... you do of course realize that this isn't always possible and that their own placements will influence this to a greater or lesser extent... perhaps the question you should be asking isn't "where" do you find such friends but "why"....
