It's just a shortcut for what we can already do with UBB code. We can selectively and more precisely quote with the UBB quote tags. If anyone has a quote delete/edit request, send it directly to me.

T,
I love your posts.
(And notice I did not quote!)

But I have to ASK,
"Do you despise the edit function as well?"

Not knocking it, I like it, it's quirky.
Cos I know when I see a lot of posts from you like that that I'm gonna be laughing.
(Crack that whip!)

Anyway,
I've been trying to cut it down with the quote button and use it selectively.
And I have improved actually so I give myself a pat on the back

Well, i'm glad my posts make you laugh.

It's not that I despise the quote button, the option to quote is still there without it and that's good. I guess I'm saying I like things to look neater and more concise, less repetitiveness.

All in all, i don't care that much, but thought this was a good thread to voice that little peeve

The edit function is fine. I know some people dislike seeing deleted posts. For some reason that one doesnt bother me. LOL I see a missing post and keep moving on, thinking; they must have had a reason they wanted to delete it and I respect that.

See how different we all are!

Nice that for the most part we can all get along harmoniously anyway.

Threads like these are good because they get people thinking.
