So true, very thread that begins as potentially awarding in astro terms ends in fighting on personal basis. And,yes, lashing out...

Of the top of my head (still have to research this more thoroughly), at least 5-7 members have been nominated by the OP and selected as Mods.In all fairness, other Mods (excluding the ones nominated by the OP) should be given a chance to each nominate at least 5-7 members. With the final yea or nay on you as web master. As you have yourself said, a lot of power is given to Mods. So I'm sure you spend time carefully reviewing each nomination. IP: Logged |

I am not coming back to this thread and I advised Doomlord not to as well. There is a lot of hate here. Your hate is your own, not anyone's fault. It is within you. The same hating people wait to get into any fight around here. It is an inner thing with you all, not a situational LL thing. You need to examine who you are, inside. That would be time much better spent than hating me, or other people you don't even know. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal

Being recommended by a Mod carries a lot of weight, just like a recommendation by someone already employed would matter in any organization. That's just plain smart. But ultimately, I choose who I feel will contribute the best to LL. I pick independent thinkers who more often disagree with one another than agree, and that diversity and divergent thinking is what I aim for here. You can label it however you want or whatever feels comfortable to you, but it's not going to affect my choices one bit. I choose who I feel is best for the job...who I favor for the task of being a Mod...so I suppose that is favoritism in that I alone am going to make the decision I feel is best. I always do, I always have, and I always will. I have made a couple of errors of judgment in the past, but for the most part, I have been happy with my choices (whether it be ideas for Forums or the people who Mod them). ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." And no, each Mod will not be given the "official" opportunity to nominate 5-7 more. That's ludicrous. Any Mod or any Knowflake can nominate someone at anytime and could have done so throughout the past here, and that is the ultimate in fairness. True that most have not availed themselves of that opportunity, and that's also fine, but several people have (even if I didn't choose their nominations for whatever reason). There are sacred few positions remaining.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you."
