Since December 21, 2012 is almost upon us, what are some actual real-life cataclysmic events that could wipe humanity off the Earth? Well, there are three lurking dangers, and all of them are unsettling. One is something called Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). Every 11 years, the Sun gets very angry. It ejects enormous bursts of plasma and radiation. Most of them miss the Earth. We have had a few direct hits. Luckily, the Earth's magnetic field deflects such blasts. But they have found relatively large holes in our field. It would be a roll of the dice, but if a CME got in, we would have little time to even prepare. In minutes, the blast would hit us, and anything electric would be zapped. All electric grids would go down, and it would take from four to ten years to repair the devastation. Fiction can mirror real life (the tv show Revelation). What would happen with no electricity for years? Starvation. Exposure. Governments could crumble. Panic would ensue. It would be catastrophic. The next CMEs are due Spring 2013. The other doomsday scenario is something called supervolcanoes. We have several. But the most disconcerting is Yellowstone National Park. It is like a balloon ready to pop. And if it pops, a large portion of Western America would be wiped out by a wall of fire. Then the ash would cover the globe and block out the Sun. It would rain contaminated black rain. All we could do is wait it out and let it settle. Billions would die. The entire Earth's mantle could spin out of control. Earthquakes are caused by shifts in the mantle. A complete spin would crumble buildings like sand castles. The third one is a polar shift. In actuality, the Earth doesn't flip. The magnetic field does. Many species of animals depend on the magnetic field to migrate. They would quickly die off. Hurricanes and tsunamis would be like nothing we have ever seen before...a veritable global super storm. What is ironic is that a CME blast that gets through the radiation field could set off one or more of the supervolcanoes. If strong enough, it could also reverse the magnetic poles. A nuclear winter effect (though that science is unproven) would be doubly devastaing with no electricity for heat. Such blasts could also throw the Earth off its orbital pattern or knock us into space, but that is unlikely. Still, we could have all three doomsday scenarios happening at the same time if one of those CMEs makes it inside our defenses. The world's electric grid would definitely go down in that case. That's pretty much a given. Our grids are very vulnerable. And most cars would stop working (except for older omnes), but with no electricity to pump gas, the ones that do work would be useless soon. The other two scenarios may or may not occur when a CME hits. Lastly, on December 21, 2012, the Earth will be almost exactly facing the Milky Way's heart (a black hole). Doomsday proponents say that will block off the energy of the black hole and cause global catastrophies. Of course, a black hole emits no energy. But that is still one hell of a coincidence. Eventually, they will come to pass. I see current weather patterns playing into these scenarios as well. The drought, superstorm Sandy followed by the Nor`easter, umpteen earthquakes in recent days (around the globe)and so forth It is most interesting times we live in and I am gratefull to be a part of it. ------------------ We dance around the ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and Knows Robert Frost IP: Logged |

Yup. That should be counted in the Dooms Day Scenario as well.------------------ We dance around the ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and Knows Robert Frost IP: Logged |

Nothing tragic on a global scale will happen, 100% Guaranteed. If something terrible was to happen all around the world, a thousand clairvoyants would have got dreams about this already. So much effort from selfless light workers has gone into stabilizing the Earth's Energy (since 2011) to prevent civilization destroying cataclysms. IP: Logged |

I'm more nervous about an economic collapse in the US, frankly.Either way - I'm prepping

They are now saying that it was a supervolcano that killed off the dinosaurs and not a collision. Jupiter attracts most of the big objects and takes the crash for us. I saw a tv special that said it would take a planet-size collision to cause mass destruction. So, that doomsday scenario is now an unpopular one among some scientists.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." wouldn't it be nice if the electronic grid went down, and everyone's electronic debt vanished? IP: Logged |

No, with no electricity, there would be mass starvation and utter chaos. Money wouldn't matter anymore anyway after a few months. Barter would be the currency.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." "Barter would be the currency."We do a lot of bartering already. No electricity would take most people down for sure. The only current item I need electric for is the water pump. Currently working on sinking a plain piped well for hand pump ------------------ We dance around the ring and suppose, but the secret sits in the middle and Knows Robert Frost IP: Logged |

Waste disposal plants wouldn't work. Emergency generators would give out. Water would be toxic. Looting would deplete food supplies in a few months. No refrigeration. Bandits would form. Fear and panic would reign. It would be a harsh world. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I guess it would be nice on a purely selfish personal level - temporarily. But electronic isn't imaginary debt so it would be disastrous for the economy and everyone would end up paying for it anyway.IP: Logged |
