I have so many but today my favorite is O Little Town Of Bethlehem

O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The everlasting Light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight

For Christ is born of Mary
And gathered all above
While mortals sleep, the angels keep
Their watch of wondering love
O morning stars together
Proclaim the holy birth
And praises sing to God the King
And Peace to men on earth

How silently, how silently
The wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of His heaven.
No ear may hear His coming,
But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive him still,
The dear Christ enters in.

O holy Child of Bethlehem
Descend to us, we pray
Cast out our sin and enter in
Be born to us today
We hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell
O come to us, abide with us
Our Lord Emmanuel

I'd have to think about it, but the ones at the top of my list would be those by Cryptkeeper (like Juggle Bills) to many adapted to the Cthulhu mythos (like I'm Dreaming of a Dead City and Do You Fear What I Fear?). But then I've always had a graveyard sense of humor.

When I was a small child I think Silver Bells was my favorite, it was just so pretty.

Oh, I know! Dar William's The Christians and the Pagans:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_KiHRHwaAs

I LOVE that one, it's feel good, appropriate, and makes me laugh.

When I was a child we would always listen to the Bing Crosby christmas album.
It is totally interlinked with happy childhood memories for me.

As a kid I especially loved "Silver Bells", "Christmas in Killarney" and "Adeste fideles" (maybe this song was the reason I became Latin teacher after all ).

I'm not Catholic, but I find this profound.

Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you.

Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God.

The blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will live again.
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb.

Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is Heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great I am.

My Christmas favorite

This Christmas
Donny Hathaway

Hang all the mistletoe
I'm gonna get to know you better, yeah
This Christmas
And as we trim the tree
How much fun it's gonna be together, yeah ha
This Christmas

Fireside is blazing bright
We're caroling through the night
And this Christmas, will be yeah
A very special Christmas, for me yeah

Presents and cards are here
My world is filled with cheer and you, ohh yeah
This Christmas
And as I look around
Your eyes outshine the town, they do
This Christmas
Fireside is blazing bright
We're caroling through the night

Today, in remembrance of the life of John Lennon

So This Is Christmas

So this is Christmas
And what have you done?
Another year over
And a new one just begun.

And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young.

A very Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear.

And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong.

And so this is Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight.

A very Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear.

So this is Christmas
And what have you done?
Another year over
And a new one just begun.

And so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young.

A very Merry Christmas
And a Happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear.

War is over!
If you want it
War is over!
Now!

Too many to mention, however the delivery method....church bells.....

Sitting in this small Midwest Indiana town, in a lovely 19th century Victorian mansion, across the street from the church bells, complete with the sound of shod horse hooves puling Amish buggies on the pavement......

Ahhhh

Christmas songs!

Frank Sinatra - Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOLEjOj9LOw

Judy Garland - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfCXjD1KTu0

The Cat Carol - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29N10-TQ9KE

The last one is new :3. What can i say - I'm not a carol type of guy, I haven't sang any carols in the last 16 years... as for XMAS songs - i used to like the ones from Frank Sinatra - but now, they feel kinda nostalgic - so... can't say i put them on in XMAS time, yet - accidentally... i might hear them on the bus or in a bar/club... ^^

Do You Hear What I Hear?

Said the night wind to the little lamb
Do you see what I see
Way up in the sky little lamb
Do you see what I see
A star, a star
Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
With a tail as big as a kite

Said the little lamb to the sheperd boy
Do you hear what I hear
Ringing through the sky sheperd boy
Do you hear what I hear
A song, a song
High above the tree
With a voice as big as the sea
With a voice as big as the sea

Said the shepard boy to the mighty king
Do you know what I know
In your palace wall mighty king
Do you know what I know
A child, a child
Shivers in the cold
Let us bring him silver and gold
Let us bring him silver and gold

Said the king to the people everywhere
Listen to what I say
Pray for peace people everywhere
Listen to what I say
The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light
He will bring us goodness and light

The child, the child
Sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light

Is there a hidden message in the song? "With a tail as big as a kite." Sounds like a comet!

Silent Night

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth "
