It all becomes to spread out and that bond that holds a group close is missing. I think that is what`s being said here. The question is then, how to use all the forums and be able to get to know the posters while interacting.

The forum discriptions are too close in definition to one another and people get confused. By narrowing the forums and giving a wider berth in subject, we would have more posters, a closer community and a smoother labor of love in modding.

Just my onion
edited to add. I understand Randall. That was an issue but we do need to feel a sense of belonging and community by more interacting . So, how to achieve that?

juniperb... I like what you have to say very much. Describes me. I couldn't 'find' right places to post. Sometimes didn't realize that what I brought up was already being discussed elsewhere.... sorry for that confusion.

Also didn't quite understand the web of friendships....

I didn't know how FUNNY Ami Anne could be with her dry wit. I didn't understand that you were pulling each other's leg in the Divine Diversties section. I understand you all more now... what a riot!

I would wish people would nudge me to the correct places (with urls?)... Lexxigramer does that excellently, hopping around the forums. Faith did that for me recently with an invite to the porch (Thankyou so much, Faith-- I look forward to good conversations.) (Hearth).

I liked the "real" talks on sexuality [Lexxigramer, PixieJane]. I'd like to see something like that stay.

But I do understand also that younger teens could be here... and although they are precocious and 'know all things', I'd maybe feel a bit uneasy about LL if I were a parent.

There have been times I was on threads where they were sharing music... but a few were NOT music. They were explicit... like T-girls with sketch from the knees-up POV. (This was NOT in Sweet Peas either.)

That was shocking to me.... Not that I have never seen anything like it, but I was caught off-guard... Had I been with a teen or child I would have been VERY concerned. (This happened during the past few days after sensitive things I had written in threads around LL were deliberately being disrespected and mocked. This is kinda 'new' to me, so I will adjust to that now. But I don't feel that a person should have to experience that here at Linda Goodman's house.

These not-so-nice playful antics were surprising, and hurtful because I wasn't expecting it. --- but like juniperb says... you come to "know" people. With some posters, you can know them pretty much up front... with others, they 'trick' people's trust then go laugh at them elsewhere.

Then with some who seem 'out of character' it's because they have been through some hell lately... everyone deserves some latitude and tolerance and love to surround them at those times.

(I better read further down on these posts!)

Thanks for understanding, juniperb!

I like to read LLC 2.0 like it's our front page news... keeping up with Lexxigramer, or others in immediate challenge.

And the birthdays-- I like the idea of indexing day. But I didn't find "everyone" being listed... maybe it was an older and abandoned yet bumped list?

How about a prayers & intention list to keep us in cover?

I would hesitate having a forum for Depression, Abuse like I've seen on other websites. Puts a HUGE responsibility on the mod.... I like the way it's being handled now--- it's not treated in a 'pathological' way, but more a folding in with the going in and out of friendships and kindness in 'normal' settings...
(Sweet Peas, Divine Diversities, YellowWax poets & artistry)

I think that depressed people feel isolated enough in a way. Perhaps a thread discussing it from time to time, but not a whole section?...... i dunno... just tossing out ideas

I would like to see a Civic Studies theme?
about social human reforms common people around our globe-- one specific about changes in Mental Health reforms -- Women's issues

Even though I've been here at LL for a while, I basically stayed in Asteroids, then Astrology2.0.

When some people left forum links to other sites (Jovian used to coax people to various discussions in other areas) I began to 'discover' other parts of LL. I think I had tried a couple posts in a few places last year, but I didn't "understand" how some of you were 'just kidding'---

So ya think we'll ever have a female Pope????

Feel like I want to say 'don't change too radically'.... there's just something so nice about the way it's laid out.

Perhaps a place where we could go 'ask-a-mod'? Discuss our interest and where to find discussions on that?

A separate topic for each username, with natal chart, gender, and age group listed. Other things they'd want to tell about themselves?

These may ALREADY be around here... I just haven't found it yet.

I am glad how this Forum/place is growing.
I was here on day One, when Linda Land was created. We were just a few people but more kept coming. Randal was in love with a petite Aquarian fairie and he had a long hair all the way to his weist. If you are lucky, he might post a pic.

It seems like LindaLand is now one of the biggest astro Forums on the net. Whenever i google certain astrology stuff, LindaLand pops up first in the search engines. Good job, Randall!!

How right you are! Bonding is welcome but ganging is not. It takes away the great spirit of sharing and caring and makes a place like a small pond. I am glad you chose the right spirit.

The atmosphere is absolutely the same as in the beginning. It feels like a large party of love-struck people. (Yes, most people come to astrology to ask about love.) It's been always filled with young people asking for advice and giving one to the needy. There are always a few quarreles here and there, and there were more back in time, but Randall, the Capricorn, keeps a tight hand on the lit.

Ha! You remember that? I had forgotten but now i recall it. When was the first time you came to this forum?
I wonder if there is any of the original knowflakes here. We all were so tight knitted. Mostly a girls squad. There were only a few boys.

Forgot to mention that the shape and look of this website has never been changed. It looked like that from the beginning.

Personally I think there are too many forums.. There are 2 for everything... It gets confusing... When u post in one it should have been the other and visa versa..

I would like to see everything condisnded into less forums...

Astrology, readings, learning,chit chat,spritiual, numbers

and A big one is need just for romance,relationship problems,venting,seeking advice... Etc etc..

That's my two cents

Weird to me that folks are suggesting topics that already have forums that cover those topics.
Odder yet;
is how many folks do not know where to post what.
It appears rather simple to me.
Just read the forum descriptions.
Sometimes a topic is suited to more than one forum.
It annoys me when folks go out of their way to post in the incorrect forums because they claim the correct forum does not have enough traffic.

its not always soo simple. the lines can get abit blurry if you ask me. for example:what separates a llc2.0
topic from a hearth and home topic? nothing really because they are both general chat type forums. also the lines can very blurry between an astro topic and a personal readings topics. personal readings are geared towards questions and answers about our charts . but alot of astro threads cover the same topics, so should we move all the astro threads to personal readings? i'm just going to be honest, i have purposely posted a thread in an incorrect forum to get more replies. i posted a thread about ufo sightings in llc2.0 because i knew it wouldnt get many replies in universal codes, it ended up getting moved before i got any replies and it ended up only getting like 3 replies. if it had been left alone it probably wouldve got tons. also since llc2.0 is sort of an anything goes chat forum couldnt we have chatted about our experiences with ufos?

Lindaland Central 2.0
A general discussion gathering-place where you can talk about anything you like that's not listed in another Forum description; make new friends, lend support, and share inspirational stories

The key words here are:
A general discussion gathering-place where you can talk about anything you like that's
NOT listed in another Forum description

I do see where the rest of the description also fits other forum's criteria;
such as:
make new friends
That could be at Hearth And Home
or even in Know Two Are Alike.
lend support, and share inspirational stories
are topics that can often be better served in more specific forums;
depending the nature of the lending support and or the type of inspirational stories; such as Sweet Peas, Health And Healing, Divine Diversities, Soul Unions,
and depending on the subject matter;
some other forums also.

Hearth And Home
Sit around the kitchen table, cuddle up on the floor near the warm and cozy fireplace with a comforter like Linda used to do, or just sit on the swing on the front porch...and have a casual conversation of complete randomness with your Lindaland family and close friends; this is a Forum about nothing

My understanding of this forum is that it is for chatting and just having fun;
sharing and whatever topics are NOT listed on other forum descriptions.
Topics like fashion, sports, music and so forth.

Star signs, fairies, dolphins, unicorns, psychic phenomena, ghosts, The Thunderbolt Path Of Accelerated Karma, Free-will Tinker Toys, reincarnation, deja vu, philosophy, avatars, GURUs, Isis and Osiris, UFOs, Twin S-elves, The Saturn Seven Cycle, Higher S-elf (Oversoul), astral travel, plant perception, and synchronicity

That is the correct forum for your UFO discussion.
Talk to Randall if you do not like the correct forum for your posts because of slow traffic.
I am going to try to find the time to talk with Randall about
Universal Code's description.
It covers far far too many unrelated random topics that could/should be listed in more appropriate forums in my pov.

Personal Readings
In order to unclutter our Forums, if you are asking for any kind of personal reading (Astrology, Tarot, Lexigram, or Relationships) or are offering FREE readings of any type, this is the Forum to post them

Key words here are:

I do feel better forum descriptions are needed,

I would love it if we had a recommendations forumn for blog writers like myself,i think it would be a good idea to separate all of the blog posting from astrology 2.0 from the astrology topics that get started on there.

just an idea.

Yep, LLC2 is for topics not fitted to another Forum, and Hearth And Home is actually coming into its own as a shoutout Forum. If the questions can be related to others, it can stay in Astrology 2.0 so it can be generalized, but if the questions are about one's own chart (or another person they know), it goes into Personal Readings. If one's chart is posted, it will most likely be moved there.
