What about an astronomy related forum? Like the other day I was thinking about putting up some links of the "sounds of different planets", like Jupiter,Neptune etc. but i didnt really know if that would be allowed here on LL. or if people want to discuss newly discovered planets, and its possible effects on us etc. unless, there already is an existing forum here on LL where such topics are/have already been disccussed?IP: Logged |

Or even an astro beauty forum . I remember when I first got into astrology, and read a small bit about when should one cut their hair, depending on the moons position (or planet ), I can't remember exactly what it was.. I had also read something about astrology and its correlation to one's skin/diet.IP: Logged |

Seems there is no specific forum for such. It appears most folks are not exactly sure where to post Astronomy news.
Perhaps we need a forum for Astronomy/Earth Science/Earth Changes both current and ancient "news". I would say post such at Universal codes; and in Astrology forums if more Astrology related than Astronomy related. The following illustrates some random such threads. The Sounds of the Planets Posted at Universal Codes: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/003775.html The Sounds Of Space posted as Astrology2: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/203622.html _____________________________________ Posted at Astrology2 and Astrology; but could be posted at Asteroid Astrology, or even at Astrology For Beginners. Astrology related: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/201994.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/014041.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/201994.html that one could be general news on the topic and posted At LLC2, Universal Codes; or Asteroid Astrology. Same for this one: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/202023.html And this one also: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/015146.html ________________________________________________________ Personally the following I would have posted in LLC/LLC2; Or Universal Codes, but they are at Astrology etc. Astronomy related: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/002652.html ________________________________________________________ Then we have Astronomy topics posted in odd places; like this one at Global Unity2: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum26/HTML/000588.html This one at Global Unity: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum16/HTML/002569.html ________________________________________________________ Posted at LLC2 Astronomy related/Earth Science related/News http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum25/HTML/001798.html http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum25/HTML/003758.html ________________________________________________________ Astronomy/Earth Science/News posted at Universal Codes: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/004599.html ________________________________________________________ And even posted at Spider Line; Astronomy related/Earth Science/News http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum29/HTML/000102.html IP: Logged |

There are such threads posted at various forums. Wow, thanks for the links Lexxi!. And I see how in that first link you posted, someone had already started a thread about the "sounds of planets" as well! I had not seen any of those threads you listed.so I assumed that apart from the asteroids forum, not much else has been been talked about on LL that's astronomy related. Nice to know I was wrong . I just think it would be cool to see a forum or area that promotes dedicated discussions on topics of A) the historical lore and mythology that gave us astrology (from all corners of the world), and also B) Vedic and Eastern astrology concepts/studies. I'd also agree there could be a place for astronomy itself. (where recent discoveries, changes, and archaeoastronomy can be focused on.) I don't think I've seen them here, but does LL have "sticky" options for posts (mods) that can aid in indexing, defining forums (or terms within them), and other important information , that wouldn't be flooded out by recent postings, leading to endless post-mining and sifting through search functions... that sort of thing??? Just wondering... ty either way!~ the forums are great how they are now, these are just little, possibly helpful, things that I wouldn't mind seeing here too. ^^; IP: Logged |

I agree with the person who said they post in the general places between that seems to be where everybody checks. Honestly, half the time I have a hard time understanding what the titles all mean and don't have the patience to go through each one. I think I did at one point and after that mostly I just posted in astrology 2.0, astrology, and sweet peas, because that seemed to capture my interests with posts that i wanted to reply to, never mind post in so then that became where i went to post in once i began that.I have no idea what it would be called, but I'd love to see a forum for personal in-between two or more people. You could have it password protected so that only those two having a conversation could access it. I think that would cut down with all the redundant discussions of one-liner catch-ups between only two people that sometimes take place. IP: Logged |

A forum for the men with traditional male centric topics minus sex and dating. Autos, sports, grooming, exercise, health, etc. The forum is 90% female centric. Can we please change the color theme to something more neutral looking than pink? It raises eyebrows when I'm at work. IP: Logged |

But it's supposed to be a Linda Goodman forum!!! Not a men's or woman's magazine, with randomness and a focus on grooming and something for every superficial shmuck! What are you here for? What brought you here? To teach you how to shave your facial hair, experiences with Viagra and talk about all other guy related things? Why on a Linda Goodman forum? I'm just saying....we need to focus on what this forum is supposed to be really all about, what she was about.... not being in the top 5,000 of the Google top searches or whatever. I know that ups the monetary value of the site, as well, but if the person who started the site focussed more on the point of it rather than rankings on the web and popularity contests, we might find a better regular membership here. But nothing's wrong.....oh yeah, i forgot, Everything's fine. LOL IP: Logged |

It's the rankings that get the Linda message out to more people. It has nothing to do with monetary value.IP: Logged |

I was thinking the pink is so memorable it wud actually be easy for stalkers irl to follow us here. My scorp sense tingles at the color. But i suppose a big banner does the same which my non astro forums have and it would take a flash to read behind your back. plus my screen is large i guess lol! IP: Logged |

Ya... like only half of the threads in Astro 2 are about fashion and who looks good in whatever.. and which celebrity looks "hot"
I suggested an investments thread where I was going to share my stock portfolio composition and portfolio balance allocation, but nobody wants that. I was going to discuss which real estate markets are coming back and the direction of mortgage interest rates, but nobody wants that either. There's a politics forum but it is like the wild west and emotions run high. I'm just brain storming on how to grow the subscriber base. Oh well. IP: Logged |

You could post such at: quote: Labors Of Love. Career, money, work, prosperity, abundance, and Linda's Money Mystique; talk about your dreams, aspirations, and job/career--including the most magnificent labor of Love there is--that of being a parent.
Also bear in mind many here visiting LL are poor folks, some nigh onto homeless, and some have been homeless. Your wealth and all related are so very far removed from many folk's reality here; and yes, even depressing for some. (we are happy for you but it does not help us) Many of us will never be well off financially. Like my wealthy doctor the other day said; "have you considered relocating to Arizona or somewhere else for your health?" I did not know whether to laugh or cry. I was like; yeah doc; we will relocate just like that on less than $1,000 a month, with meds that eat up over 1/2 of that and hospital bills exceeding cost of our home; yadda yadda yadda. Yeah we will get right on that doc. IP: Logged |

Randall Please please please leave it pink!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Many sites I cannot use because of my partial blindness and other vision troubles. The colors here are great for me!!!!!!!!! The easiest to look at and see the text of any forum I have seen! If you changed it; there is a very good chance I would have to leave LindaLand. As it is it is still hard to always see here; but way better than other sites. Please keep it as is.IP: Logged |
