Selfish people /fair weather "friends".
I have helped folks both online, and in offline life;
to help them get through things like;
deaths, illness, of family, and or even sick or missing pets.
I have talked folks through medical emergencies and stayed with them in person or even on the phone,
even long distance to other countries;
until ambulance(s) arrived.
Yet few bothered to be there when I was in need,
or even acknowledge that I sure would have appreciated a kind word, a "so sorry" or a get well, or something!
How can some people be so selfish and have no desire to reciprocate
not even a tiny kind word;
when I have been there when they needed a caring person.
To be totally ignored by folks I thought cared,
and whom I helped and cared when they needed it;
to be totally ignored when I was/am ever in need;
well it hurts
and sure makes it clear just how cold hearted insensitive selfish they are.
Guess such people never were really my friend(s);
just pretended to be as long as it served their needs and desires in what they could get from me.

I've been reading you here. I've looked for you on FB, but I never see you there anymore.

I'm not a fairweather friend, I'm miserable most of the time, so shielding others from that.

I was in no way referring to you.
You have been kind to me since I joined LL in 2005.
I am currently NOT at fb and have not been there for almost a year to date.
I have not done fb since almost a year ago after another mini stroke messed me up more,
and was mostly bed bound about 7 months.
Still down a lot.
I cannot see fb well enough yet again to use it at this time, so it is closed for now.

I was also not posting here at LL for about 1/2 a year due to ills.
