Did you get my e mail picture of the baby fawn yet?
He looks barely hours old
I will return this a.m. to make certain mama got him safe and sound.

My friends raised a baby deer. Her mom was killed by a hunter. She thought she was a dog and used to play with their weenie dog. She loved lollipops. All grown up now, though.IP: Logged |

Could you see her little head tucked and her eye peeking out? She was so sweet I saw a mama and baby together this afternoon and wondered if the baby was the same one. ------------------

Hunting season during baby season? Please tell me that isn`t on GA`s law books  We`ve successfully raised four fawns with release. A very rewarding experience. We need a permit here to take in most wild life.

When the economy crashed poaching increased dramatically here . But as far as I am aware, baby season is out of bounds. It is a fall/winter poach for winter meat storage.I imagine a few didn`t care tho ------------------

As I am sitting here looking out, a doe just wandered by the apple trees with a pair of teeny tiny twins. I suspect she is giving them an early start on where the buffet line is. Lucky me, I have 5 gallons of Liquid Fence to stave off the four legged munchers! ------------------
