Twirl is amazing at Tarot and also an upstanding person. I think she should definitely be a Mod. As for myself, thank you both. However, I don't consider myself much of a Tarot reader, or an astrologer, for that matter. I want to focus on Soul Unions, I hope to help that particular forum grow and have more people post there, dip in the wonderful energy there. Sigh.. I don't want any negativity or ever get involved in any conflicts here. It's my little oasis of escaping a stressful professional life and a depressing loneliness, at times. I also think maybe some things could be improved around here, but on the other hand I can accept and appreciate LL for what it is and what has offered me in the last.. 7 years or so. Also, I don't think new Mods are irrelevant. Some of them are quite valuable people, IMO. Just because they haven't been around much doesn't mean they won't do a good job. That's kind of elitist thinking. I swear T, when I see you like this you remind me of a grumpy old woman sitting on her porch displeased with everything around her, that I just want to knack some happiness and a bit of tolerance and acceptance into your thick lovely Bull skull! Clearly you like it here otherwise you would've left by now a thousand times. Had I not seen you at your best and sweetest self, perhaps I wouldn't bother saying this to you. IP: Logged |

Hera, please realize that I am laughing at all of this and not the grumpy person I might appear to be here. I usually am not, but might be acting that way for a laugh from people who know what the hell i'm getting at. I'm actually the old woman cracking jokes and finding humor in everything, not shaking her cane and growling at the kids to get off her lawn - i swear! It comes across so wrong here, to some people, I guess. LOL It's no secret that Randall and I can't stand each other... how the hell did I even end up in this thread for so long? I think I got carried away defending my pal teasel in some threads tonight? And it carried on into other threads. Yeah, it can come across the wrong way, and misunderstandings happen all the time. It seemed to me that you may be talking from a wounded pride pov, of course could be wrong. But I know you are a likeable person and have a lot to give to the community, so it bothers me sometimes when I see you so negative and intolerant about some stuff. I've been around for a while but for the most part was oblivious to the LL drama, nor do I know who the golden members of past times were. I think Randall was mostly referring to those who ended up undermining the forum, not *every* old member who stopped posting. I have heard references of them but again, I do not understand the beef in all of this and would gladly keep it that way. I think a lot of people ended up considering LL as an online family. Sure some people are annoying around here. I have to bite my tongue a lot and sometimes cannot do so either. But in the grand scheme of things, we could all make a little effort to get along, methinks. IP: Logged |

Thanks Hera No, it's not wounded pride...or wounded anything. I can't get into that, or what it is really about here though. Yes, this place can help you learn how to hold your tongue. I do not say most of what is on my mind (believe it or not lol ) and do my best to get along with people for the most part. So I think I do a pretty good job seeing as i keep most of it back and am able to 'zip it'. Maybe i have held too much back and never stuck up for myself when i should have, that's my fault...

I am sure you have your reasons. Perhaps it might be good to voice them out to the people involved, though probably in private. It feels good to have closure on things or simply to let people know how their behaviour made you feel.For the record, I was happy to see you and Lexx sort things out. Agreed, been talking to Jessica for a while, and not an a** kisser at all, honestly i've never see a Leo that is lol, just a very smart warm person.
**BTW why does that thread even mention acousticgod....he posts everyday, even helped me with an astrology question the other day (librachoice77 to) and i quite enjoy his chilled attitude, even when i don't agree with what he writes at times lol.

Apparently DepT doesnt get around much (i've only noticed him post in Astro) and he didnt see AcousticGod posting recently. AG mostly posts in a couple of forums these days though, not like he used to. I only notice him here and in GU. So he can be easy to miss and can see how Dep wondered where he went. I would not call that weird that Dep missed him.I'm glad the comment made you LOL Jessica. No it wouldnt be good to voice anything out privately & there's nothing I need closure on. People's behavior didnt make me feel anything more it made me realize who they were as people. And that makes things said and done.

if i'm not wrong AG is a father and husband, so naturally i guess he won't have time to type like he did before.though i get the 'annoying' thing at times...it'll be nice if people contribute more information exchange, whether interpretations or pieces of the puzzle.... and not just requests for readings, and usually the same question over and over again! also i do see some people say incredibly offensive stuff, which may be why some people left, the new members don't see it, and better no to. the way to deal with this, is just ignore such a person when they are being this way... anyway going to check out your other thing later on today T, i keep feeling your a very sweet person yet really hurt about something that has happened here in the past, and you're 'at it alone' but you don't need to be. **Also don't want to get on your bad side buuuut kind of like the forum as it is don't like all these phpbb websites elsewhere, they all look the same, and this is the only pink and purple one i like that doesn't deal with make up ^_^***~ flies away lol ~~~  IP: Logged |

I agree about the other boards. They all look like clones of each other-- sterile and devoid of magic. This is the UBB version of the original Linda Goodman site before they upgraded and went out of business. I fell in love with it. It was the first bulletin board I posted on. Of course, I added my own Linda-centered twist to it throughout, carefully writing each Forum and adding more over the years. But this version of UBB was my first taste of bulletin boards, and yes, I was addicted. lol I was also banned a couple of times and reinstated. I was passionate about Linda. Eventually, Greg (the Webmaster) and I became good friends, and he was my mentor. Anyway, that's one of the reasons I never upgraded besides losing the smilies.IP: Logged |

yes i know ....i don' know i keep telling ppl i preferred the internet in the early 2000's because it was like when you went to a librarian to ask which book is best on whichever subject you are researching.right now it is like corporate sponsorship versus the biggest spammer or weirdness that puts not always so valuable links at the top.... i learnt all i needed about aromatherapy and psychology and such a things from the internet back then and when i compare the stuff i printed out when i find it when am clearing stuff out, compared to now...BIG DIFFERENCE.
so it is okay....stick notes on other forums almost become a problem as you have ten pages of sticky thingies to go through before finding the post of the day...so yip... though T honestly i love your forum to this morning, quite unique and different to IP: Logged |
