To echo what Ceridwen said in the link re synastry threads, we TOTALLY need an asteroids reference forum. Or it could be a general reference forum. So many people have appreciated having those reference threads - they need to be more accessible, improved, updated etc. I am collating stuff for more threads and will post in the new forum. I totally agree about needing a forum that is only about asteroid meanings, interpretations, research and grouping them into themes for easier use, not a place to post personal aspects or ask for chart interpretations!I've always thought it would be interesting to have a forum that focuses on the Ascendant and learning the physical traits of each sign or how the planets aspecting will change the appearance of someone. Everyone seems to be interested in learning how to tell someone's ascendant by looking at them. Or potentially it could be a forum about the meaning for angles and points? IP: Logged |

I think the vibe in Astro 2.0 would change if all the synastry/comp questions were moved elsewhere. So many of the questions are relationship-related. Personally, I like things as they are now and I like the no. 33 as well

When faced with a overriding need to create other forums (e.g., asteroid reference threads) it doesn't seem appropriate to be anti-change - keeping no 33, for example. These threads would be best seen as something that don't replace the discussion in the other forums, but collate the most useful bits. So, the relationship 'forum' could explain, organise info, place it in a linear order etc. So, basically a Brown Owl model on the topic. (Just a suggestion - the relationship experts may have other ideas)Keeping things the way they are is comfy of course, but change can be for the good. @ Randall, just read your note on your offer for creating a 'Reference thread archive" for asteroids. Thank you for that, but it won't suit if these can't be added to. The idea is the keep these updated. Perhaps, the best way would be to create the reference threads "forum' with a note to say that these are for reference only and queries and discussion should be posted in the asteroids forum. Some people will ignore that, but not many. That will be OK. If the first few pages can be updated and amended by the mod or contributor, then that would be very helpful. IP: Logged |

It adds to 13.. I know it's not a bad number but I would maybe like a happier, more fortunate vibe for this forum. I played with some variations and 13 kept coming up, until I found "The Astrology of Relations" which is a 19 but generally has people thinking of romantic relations only or "The astrology of Relating" which is a 21. I am fonder of the second one. ------------------ ~the raving one dancing in the nude~ IP: Logged |

Trying to stay with the theme. Relationship Astrology? Then I would put something in the description that specifies synastries and composites and state several different examples of relationships. IP: Logged |

This is the well-known incantation of the Three Witches in Shakespeare's Macbeth, 1605: All: Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and cauldron bubble. Second Witch: Fillet of a fenny snake, In the cauldron boil and bake; Eye of newt, and toe of frog, Wool of bat, and tongue of dog, Adder’s fork, and blind-worm’s sting, Lizard’s leg, and howlet’s wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
