I found out that a law degree is like a Doctorate (it's called a Juris Doctor), so I might be able to teach at the college level at some point. I was always scared to try getting a PhD, because the idea of writing a thesis is daunting to me.IP: Logged |

Dear Randall,Congratulations! This email is to notify you of your acceptance into the part-time program for Fall 2015 at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School! Our Admissions Committee is impressed with your credentials and believes you possess the intellect and background to succeed in law school, in law practice and in life. We are delighted to welcome you as the newest member of our Law School community. In addition, you will receive the following scholarship award based on your LSAT score and GPA. As a part-time student you will retain the award as long as you have a 2.75 or higher cumulative GPA after each academic year. The academic year ends after the summer semester for part-time students. You may view the AJMLS conditional scholarship retention data and other financial aid information on our website at: http://www.johnmarshall.edu/futurestudent/admissions-aid/financialaid/. John E. Since its initiation, Mercer's legal writing program has risen to the number #1 ranked legal writing program in the country, according to U.S. News and World Report. Mercer is the only school in the country to offer a Certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research, and Drafting. By providing students with a strong emphasis on legal writing and offering popular elective courses on advanced legal writing and research, Mercer Law sees to it that hiring firms are consistently impressed with the practical writing skills of newly minted Mercer grads. The school has fervently worked to recruit a legal writing faculty that is either tenured or on a tenure-track to teach the nationally renowned legal writing classes; the research courses are also taught by nationally recruited legal research faculty.IP: Logged |

That's awesome. Sometimes I think about going through will my dream of becoming a lawyer. I have so many aspirations that I'm just no sure which way I want to go just yet. I'd rather make up my mind then spend thousands on a degree I may or may not use. IP: Logged |
