Ok, I'm asking these questions because I've thought about law school for some time now but was discouraged...Do you feel like the cost of school is worth it considering the job market for lawyers is said to be at an all-time low? Are you confident that you'll find a job? Do you think the stress and long hours of the job are worth the cost of school? What made you decide to go to law school and become a lawyer? What will you do if you're faced with a lack of job openings or incredible stress on the job? I hope these questions aren't too personal. I worked for a law firm for a bit to try and get a feel for the atmosphere and daily life of attorneys. The old guys who went to school back before it cost an arm and a leg are doing well but boy are they workaholics. The young ones fresh out of school and a year into the job warned me. On top of all the negativity I've read online, it scared me away. I look forward to hearing what you have to say! IP: Logged |

Are you confident that you'll find a job? See above. But a good lawyer will always be able to find a job. Do you think the stress and long hours of the job are worth the cost of school? It's my calling, so there shouldn't be much stress, and it's only long hours if you don't enjoy what you do. What made you decide to go to law school and become a lawyer? What will you do if you're faced with a lack of job openings or incredible stress on the job? I want to defend the weak, help others, and make societal impacts.
