Besides the obvious usernames such as:AquaGuy91 or Lioness What does you user name mean and why did you choose it? Mine is sorta obvious. A friend said to me, when things are good your good when things are bad your terrible. I didn't think I was that dual-natured. ==================================== Gemini Sun, Capricorn Rising Aries Moon Gemini Mercury Venus Taurus Mars Cancer IP: Logged |

Umm.. the reasons are three-fold. But the important one, is ..relating to Greek mythology. Love the symbolism. Stumbled across it in a poem in high school, and fell in love with the idea. quote:
Elysium (ɪˈlɪzɪəm) n 1. (Classical Myth & Legend) Greek myth Also called: Elysian fields - the dwelling place of the blessed after death. 2. a state or place of perfect bliss
Short definition here. In a way, it's an aspirational username. What I'd like to *be* or *have* as opposed to what I am. IP: Logged |

I wanted a happy, carefree and a bit unconventional username after the overbearing one I had previously. IP: Logged |

I had awakened that morning with a Bugs-Bunny cartoon scene in my head, where he was racing around in a desert hollering, It's a mirage-eee. It's a miragi! (He was dressed in sultan-type clothes, I think??)So, as I sat at the computer waiting for the inspiration to choose a username {for a different website before LL-- I continued my online identity here, writing similar posts}, I heard Bugs-Bunny in my imagination saying that name, and I laughed and decided to use it. I simply added my day of birth as a suffix to distinguish as '29'. It was really an amazing cosmic pick for me, as I was not aware that the letters in mirage also spell the word "imager" ... I was born with a colorful-sense of Wonder and Imagination. And I like to try to entertain, uplift, and inspire people with my words. IP: Logged |

Lots of reasons... But I had been thinking, just before choosing this name...that if someone were to strip away everything in my personality, like an onion, what they'd find at the core is faith in the triumph of good in the universe. That would be the last thing to go, because it's the deepest and most entrenched kind of energy that I sense within myself. Astrologically, I have sun-Mars-Jupiter in aspect with only 0.15° orb and accordingly have taken many calculated risks in my lifetime...leaps of faith. ETA: 'Love everyone's explanations IP: Logged |

What a great string!I have used this username since the first incarnation of a Linda Goodman site. I don't even remember the name of the site, except that it was Linda Goodman ... something. Randall was there. I initially tried Ra-Ta, from a Cayce book I was reading at the time, but it was taken! So I took Ra. It is the first syllable of my real name, and it shares numerology. I've been nothing but Ra for quite some time now! IP: Logged |

I have a 12th house stellium (5 planets), 4 of which are earth placements. Earth + water = mud. There's another reason - the analogy of lotus emerging from the mud, unstained. During my childhood I got drilled with "lessons" like that one. I never did subscribe to them. I was "raised from mud" after all, I feel no need to be "unstained", or to clean myself off of it. So the "muddy" part of the username carries a little laugh. IP: Logged |

I can see that in you.. It's a great quality to have in a by-and-large cynical world. Cool stories, everyone! IP: Logged |

Great question! When I first signed up for the site, I was concerned about anonymity (my circumstances have changed and I don't care at all now), so I chose a username that everyone who knows me in real life would NEVER GUESS was me. They would assume I'd pick a username with literary or mythological significance, a reference to my chart, or a pun. I thought they'd see the name Lucia23 and assume it wasn't me. I'm not named Lucia and I wasn't 23. IP: Logged |

Faith! I took what you said about your name in a deep mystical way. That yes!!, that Core we find inside after life peels and processes us, IS the genuine Best of us. It's always there all the time, resident within.Loved that choral performance of Beethoven's Ode to JOY, WITH LYRICS!! (laughing). Exact-reference to Elysia's name is right there! That's so funny you thought of Beethoven for Elysia's name?, because every time I've seen her name, I automatically hear Faure!! Quite still and soothing. (music) In Paradisium (Faure, Requiem) [3:02] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zuQXGA_BwY4 You're our Classical Music Muse, Elysia! IP: Logged |

I had YouTube playing on the tv and was listening to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VMFdpdDYYA (NickelBack- Someday) I had tried to join LL several months before the day I joined and wasn't successful. So, I figured I would give it another try...I tried a few usernames and each of them had already been taken. I added Soon to the song (hoping that Someday Soon I would be able to join). And, that's how Someday Soon came about. IP: Logged |
