I'm just wondering if LL has ever had a 'Mod-election', where people have put themselves forward for modship and then are 'voted in' by a member majority?------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson IP: Logged |

Randall used to ask for nominations, but I don't know if that happened every time. IP: Logged |

I went looking through the stacks below, to try to *bump* one yesterday.. couldn't find it before I had to log off.Yes, I recall -- in the various forums around LL, Randall would create a thread (or bump an old one), to ask for any new volunteer-recruits or nominations. {Teasel, you had nominated me, a few times. LOL That was nice of you.} Seemed (maybe) to follow a pattern of around 6 months, or even 3 mos, depending on mod-retirements or busyness? *~ I ran across clusters of some really-really brutal fights here (back in that 2012~2013 era you had mentioned in another thread, Teasel). Folks were reporting VERY abusive mistreatment of (some of the quieter/nicer LL members)!! People who never normally went-off, had some tirades. (thumbsup to AE). Some had to report completely~inappropriate threads, photos/pics... which Randall handled deftly, immediately removing them. People got banned, or lost their posting privileges for a while.. I was going through old threads, too, in sweet peas, and it put me in a sad mood. IP: Logged |

^ Yeah, it's like 12th House Pisces energies.. sorry about thatNew Moon Pisces tomorrow morning around 5:21 am LL time. Looked up the local chart for LL, and I see the chart-of Peak of NM "will be" a 12th House Event. .. LL-chart has it conjunct its IC (opp MC), 3rd house side. (Voix, Yours and my moon conjunct LL's MC Virgo 24.25 ... (my degree is 24.56) .. Our Moons are in her 10th. )

Thankls you for replies. I guess I was just curious about whether a democratic model of 'electing' moderators had been tried. Not syaing there's not enough moderation or anything, as really, LL is in a pretty quiet period on reflection.@Mirage Ah! I knew I was connected to LL for some reason. I was just saying this in another thread, that I couldn't quite pinpoint my feelings of loyalty and attachment to LL other than the obvious (she was a great astrology, I came to learn astrology, content is of a high quality, etc), the connection seemed to be beyond these things. How cool is that! Expansion all round I've a thread over in Interpersonal that is about synastry to solve differences, but it's also incorporating members' synastry with LL's chart. Why don't you come over and share your synastry with LL's chart? http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum35/HTML/010911.html ------------------ Don’t judge each day by the harvest you reap but by the seeds that you plant - Robert Louis Stevenson IP: Logged |
