I don’t have a lot of time now. I have an exam to study for tomorrow. But to shortly answer your question, no Quran DOES NOT say any of those things you’ve mentioned in this thread. Islam’s a religion of compassion, TOLERANCE and goodness. “Extremist” muslims have nothing to do with Islam. They are far away from the true meaning of it.

I want to say why *I* talk about these hot button things.
I have a very specific reason.
It is because there is a lot of Anti Semitism.
Much is latent but there,nonetheless.

I want people to know a Jewish person.I want people to be able to ask questions, respectfully,if they have questions.

I want the people that hate Israel to see a Jewish person's side of it.

I do not care to fight for fighting sake.
If there are people who care to know a Jewish/Biblical Christian Viewpoint on Israel or Jewish people,in general, I want to be able to offer it.
That is my sole reason for talking about these things .

Ami Anne, I have , under discpline, studied the Holy Texts. Including the Quran. It appears WL is a Muslim so he can speak on your specific postings.

The Holy Bible and Quran is said to be divinely inspired. On that I believe is a general agreement.

I found in my studies, it is wisest to look at the similarities instead of any opposition.

Both speak of what is righteous conduct according to the historical times and cultures . Yet, both both speak of God/Allah`s love, mercy,forgiveness and the Path to righteous living.

I find the Abrahamic Faiths get hung up on the cultures and era`s rather than the Divine messages they contain.

In my heart, there is room for both Holy Texts .

I do hope you continue sharing as it is a learning experience for us

Boy oh boy is this a minefield.

Zionism according to Jews actually has nothing to do with Judaism. Ami Anne, I think you are still considered and still consider yourself Jewish deep down inside. I say this because of the responses of your posts.

Also, Muslims cannot pray on land that is not theirs, it's considered stealing and they must ask permission to pray. Consequently the statement about the Koran in regards to a Muslim stepping foot on land...really contradicts this. Not to mention that I have heard similar about killing non-Jews. It irks me when a religion has a specific word for non-Jews, like shiksa for women. Which basically means a dirty, abhorrent woman, and that all non-Jewish women are shiksas. Sorry but this does not sit well with me.

What I briefly read in the Quran is that men/husbands are to be the sole provider for the woman/wife. She may chose to work or not and if chooses to do so may do whatever she pleases with the money. Call me biased, but I like this. I have my personal reasons...

Also a BIG thing I'd like to remind people is that Judaism is a RELIGION not a race.

To answer the question of the thread, Zionism technically has nothing to with Judaism. Zionists however will stop at nothing to get what they want. >_< And when I say nothing, I mean nothing.

None from Peter,Mark,Paul,John,James, etc relinquished it. Luke may have been a convert but the rest had their Jewish identity from birth to death.

Zionists believe the land of Israel was deeded to the Jews in the Bible.
Anti-Zionists do not believe the Bible deeded the land to the Jews.

last night i spent an hour writing a long winded reply that i was so proud of, sure enough as iwas posting it the connection failed and poof! everything i wrote vanished! later, after having a hissy fit over the phone with my internet guy at 9pm, i remembered a Pink Floyd song, "...swiming in a fish bowl year after year..."

Your post is a contradiction in itself. Not going to address that because that goes into religion and what one bible says versus another (which is also bs) and frankly it's not worth my energy. But about the 'land' of the Jews being deeded in the Bible. Never heard of this. Maybe in some different sect. All I know is that Christianity and Judaism have nothing to do with each other. Judaism existed before Christianity and Christianity is (or at least should be) about the life of Christ and his teachings.

Venus- I Lebanon. Would love to visit one day. As for 'muslim extremists' they are only people taking the law into their own hands and wanting to rule their countries according to Muslim law not Zionist law.

Judiasm is the ROOT of Christianity. ALL of the Old and New Testament was written by Jews,not Christians ,per se.
Let me explain this.They were Jews by birth and until death. If you ASKED them if they were Jewish. They would say "YES"
They would say "We believe in the Jewish Messiah"
They would not say 'We are NOT Jews"
They would be exactly like *I* am.
This is not to say I am great or wonderful.
I am not.I am very flawed and that has shown on LL.
