WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum canceled his Sunday morning campaign events and planned to spend time with his hospitalized daughter.

"Rick and his wife Karen are admitting their daughter Bella to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia this evening," spokesman Hogan Gidley said in a statement Saturday night, adding "Rick intends to return to Florida and resume the campaign schedule as soon as is possible."

Rick Santorum says women shouldn't serve in combat, but he's happy to have his wife jump on a grenade for him. When ABC's George Stephanopoulos asked the presidential candidate about a passage of his 2005 book -- "The radical feminists succeeded in undermining the traditional family and convincing women that professional accomplishments are the key to happiness" -- Santorum claimed his wife wrote the passage. But as The New York Times' Brian Knowlton points out, Karen Santorum's name isn't on the cover of the It Takes a Family, and she's not listed in his acknowledgments of people "who assisted me in the writing of this book."

He`s confusing satan/evil and what Reagan stated.

Retaining those so called benefits in policies issued to Catholic institutions...with someone else paying for those services which violate the religious beliefs of Catholics does not in any way "solve" the problem O'Bomber created for himself and demoscats.

In case you don't know this, Catholics make up about 25% of actual voters. Last time around, Catholics gave O'Bomber the benefit of the doubt and voted for him. What do you think is going to happen in the election in November to the guy who attempted to make war on their religion?

You...and O'Bomber...and demoscats who voted for O'BomberCare with provisions which violated tenets of the Catholic religion only
wish this issue was over.

Oh, and it's not only Catholics who are pi$$ed about this. Voters of other religious faiths understand well that if O'Bomber was willing to make war on the Catholic religion then he wouldn't hesitate to make war against their religion either...just as soon as he could get around to doing it.

perhaps in madeira beach the addition of several billion people on the planet has not made its mark yet(4 billion since you were a child, jwhop). most of us have noticed the shrinking space we can call ours and many of us respond to this by deliberately having fewer children.

the rhythm method has been proven extremely fallible. many "female conditions" are alleviated by "birth control" medication. many children have benefitted from their parents' planning not to have so many kids they can't afford to raise them.

of course there is always the santorum method of birth control. if the wife is pregnant 9 months of the year, sex is free of the consequence of making even MORE babies.

Santorum win in Michigan could be chaos for Republicans

Republicans worry about the general election viability of Santorum, a staunch conservative who has courted controversy with a burst of comments on social issues like birth control, pre-natal testing and women in the military.

Santorum's rise and Romney's weakness have sparked speculation about more contenders jumping into a Republican race that could last all the way to a brokered convention in August. The Michigan result could shift that speculation into overdrive.

"A Santorum win in Michigan takes all of the talk about a new candidate or a brokered convention and puts it on steroids," Republican strategist Todd Harris said.

If Romney pulls out a victory in Michigan and in Arizona, where he has a more comfortable lead in polls, he would regain command of the frequently shifting race but could still face a long nominating battle that could extend into June.
