I heard Rand on a radio show. He respects Israel as the lone democracy in the Middle East. He respects what Israel stands for. I liked everything else about Ron Paul, except where he stood on Israel. Rand has cajones. He has been standing up for people who want America, as we know it. Go Rand!!!!

BAD he made Israel equal with the Arab states who have no democracy and atrocious human rights. People don't realize that the US NEEDS Israel, as the only democracy in the region. Who can be counted on when all hell breaks loose? ONLY Israel.

You heard who on the radio?
Rand and Ron are father and son;
NOT the same guy.
Rand Paul (Randal Howard "Rand" Paul (born January 7, 1963)

Ami,

Sorry, he doesn't have my vote. Father and son are different on several issues, and neither has my support.

I agree, BUT we need someone who has cajones and that means there are very few people out there. Paul Ryan sold us out, so who is there? Marco Rubio would be my first choice, but Rand loves this country unlike the present one in office imho

You sounded like you were indicating they are the same person here:

Were you talking about Ron or Rand?
You were unclear Ami.

Ami,

No libertarians for me. Both Pauls nauseate me. No RINOs. And I'm not with Rubio either, nor with Jindhal or Christie. The GOP will become increasingly irrelevant with the Romney's, McCains, Bushes, Doles, Boehners of this world. The base will continue to stay home and the GOP will continue to lose each presidential election even though it will probably maintain a House majority.

Well, you have a good point, but most anyone has to be better than what we have now, but I do see what you are saying.

You have a good point too, but look at where the anyone-but-Bush mentality got us? Yes, indeed a libertarian is better than what we have now, but I have no intentions of settling for what I would still fundamentally be dissatisfied with.

Thank you.
Just wanted clarification.
So it is Rand not Ron you are talking about?
Still confused.

Rand:

Brennan won't say whether or not he intends to kill American citizens on American soil, with drones.

Great interview, worth watching in full:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WHWTUpLhmQ&feature=youtu.be

I disagree with Rand on foreign policy, but he was good here.

This is just unbelievable, that apparently he is the only one protesting:

quote:
"I have asked Mr. Brennan if he believed that the president has the power to authorize lethal force, such as a drone strike, against a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil, and my question remains unanswered," Paul said.

The White House declined to comment on whether Brennan would provide a response to Paul or whether it would turn over more legal opinions to the Senate.

I don't care about his religion so much as his intent to kill.
