I assume you mean that you tithe? Is that ALL you give?

In the meantime I just wanted to point out that even in California there's no way to spend the "money" (actually either very special checks/vouchers or electronic data that are very limited in their use) on drugs (not unless say someone wanted to buy stuff on welfare and then trade it in). Welfare does little more than make sure you don't starve (and you won't be eating everyday unless you stick to PBJ and/or Ramen noodle) and has a lot of safeguards built into it against abusing the system, and in CA you also have to show good faith efforts to find work unless you can show you're disabled, and trying to find work generally includes drug tests in it.

(ETA: I just remembered, drug convictions effectively bar many from welfare benefits, and that includes to those who allow someone with such a conviction to live with them. Other crimes, especially fraud to get welfare which can also being sued to pay it back, also get a person barred, typically 6 months at least but can last years or be permanent, especially if more than one conviction.)

I'm sure there are ways to beat the system but unless they can keep off the alcoholics then I don't really care about all the others either. Hmm, tobacco is so expensive maybe that should be barred, too (especially a welfare mom with kids).

LLC2 (i'm not sure which one would be more appropriate), but certainly not this thread.

Rather than quoting me like that multiple times with no reply, spit something out. What is it you would really like to say? And do it in a different thread. That way anyone who has a problem with me ever can go there and let it out and I can address them there from here on out. Let's keep it neat and on topic.

If I have misunderstood what you are trying to get across in those last three posts and they were somehow meant to be friendly posts, then I apologize.

I've a feeling they werent. I prefer it when people are straight up with me. Have something to say? Then say it. Elsewhere. I'll be sure to get back to you.
