Trump could have done better. He did get a little defensive and should have spent that time instead going after Clinton, or talking about his own ideas, since people still think he's not specific enough with his policy ideas.

Hillary seemed unnecessarily smug if you watched it. The questions were very biased towards Clinton too. I wonder why they picked this moderator? Absolutely a waste - they may have well just put Trump and Clinton up there and had them go at it.

Trump did a good job, Hillary as well as she could do as a seasoned politician. This is only the first debate. I expect more from Trump the next two.

Remember Romney owned Obama the first debate? I'm hoping it will be something like that

This just goes to show that Trump supporters are spamming the polls. There is no way that Trump would be deemed the winner in any credible poll, especially by such large margins. Of course he will be way ahead on Brietbart, which is run by Steve Bannon, head of Trump's campaign. Infowars is a joke, with most of their "news" stories involving the reptilian race. I can't believe they would even be listed as a poll source.

Many viewers are rooting for their own candidate, so they are biased about how they viewed the debates. However, it was blatantly obvious who had a better debate performance as soon as their camps went into the spin room. Trump's surrogates were clearly not happy, while Hillary's were grinning ear to ear.

I think this pic says it all

Trump immediately blamed microphone problems, saying that his mic was not working and suggesting that it was sabotaged. On Fox and Friends this morning when they asked him about the constant sniffling, he said that he didn't sniffle at all. He blamed the mic for being so sensitive it picked up his breathing. This was seconds after complaining about his faulty mic. If that was Hillary sniffling and drinking water through the whole debate he would've mocked her. I'm not shocked that Trump is declaring himself the winner, because his narcissism will not allow him to be labeled a "loser".

If Hillary won, it was due to these three reasons:

1. Trump happily admitted to being smart for evading taxes, allowing Hillary a strong reply.

2. Hillary quickly admitted to her e-mail server mistake. Prevented Trump from utilizing that to the fullest.

3. Hillary's point of being prepared to be President did not elicit a strong enough response.

Sheer and utter bullshiiite IQ.

Trump didn't "evade taxes". Income tax evasion is a federal felony..though it may be the norm in India.

Trump's tax returns are prepared by a firm of Certified Public Accountants and Tax Attorneys using current tax law and tax schedules published by the Internal Revenue Service...IRS.

Trump's "income"...and everyone else's "income"... is offset by allowable "deductions". What's left is "Net Income". It's "Net Income" that's taxable.

Taking allowable "deductions" to offset "income" IS NOT TAX EVASION. Wise up!

Hillary The Corrupt did not take responsibility for having "classified/secret/top secret" information on her wide open server. Who gives a rat's patootie if Hillary uses a private server to share cookie recipes and wedding photos with her friends and family. No one! But receiving and transmitting secret...including top secret information, sometimes to those who don't even have a security clearance IS a federal felony. So is lying to Congress, repeatedly, a federal felony...Obstruction of Justice. So, knock off the nonsense that Hillary apologized for the federal crimes she committed.

Trump made the point that all of Hillary's preparation and experience to be president resulted in abject failures, all of which blew up in America's face.

Expect to hear a lot more about the issues you raised in support of Hillary The Corrupt...on the campaign trail and at the other 2 debates.

Millions of Americans responded to snap polls immediately after the debate and gave their "unfiltered" reactions to what they saw and heard from Trump and Clinton. Their reactions were overwhelmingly in favor of Trump.

There are always going to be those who need the pundits and chattering class of nitwit political activists to tell them what they saw, what they heard...and what it all means.

My personal take was that Hillary won by a split decision. Each landed a couple of good blows, but nothing decisive. Imho, Trump's best was "I'll release my taxes when you release your 33,000 emails". Hillary had a few, her best was the "When you ... and testify 11 hours in front of a senate committee, you can talk about stamina" line.

The problem is that Trump needed to show that Hillary did not have the temperament to be president so he could take that same argument against him off the table. Hw needed to show the nation the Hillary that was throwing ashtrays and firing travel gate employees and giving Bill a black eye. He needed to show Hillary the tyrant. Unfortunately for him, Hillary wouldn't bite. I think she had her smile super glued to her face before the debate.

You're right Gemini Blues. I had forgotten the ashtray throwing incident in the White House...where Hillary also called black Americans racial slurs, as did Bill Clinton..starting with "N" and ending in "g".

Yeah, that fake smile Killary Rotten Clipart had was clown face creepy. She looked like a bobble head. A photo shows she had an earpiece in her left ear, and this time it wasn't a trick of light. That's why she kept pausing--she was waiting for her line. Tax avoidance is legal. And smart. Killary admitted to nothing, apologized for nothing. Trump has a feel for it now. Next time, he will get her for the foundation, Benghazi, Bill's racism and indiscretions, and late-term/choice of gender abortions. She's toast!

It's no wonder people think he's a decoy to ensure her win. He couldn't look more like a baboon of he tried.

Stiffing people is just business. Ditto not paying any taxes, exporting production to China, and importing foreigners who will accept lower wages.

She's not someone I want to vote for but the fact is we don't have only two horses in this race, but one. Sure people will vote for Law and Order

And "we have to take the guns" is somehow less scary than pundits swearing Obama would despite never saying anything close to that blatant..

Could it be that we know Big Daddy only means "those peoples'" guns?

"Candidly, I don't remember a time in my life when my parents and my family weren't being attacked, and so it just sort of seems to be in that tradition, unfortunately. And what I find most troubling by far are ... Trump's continued, relentless attacks on whole swaths of our country and even our global community: women, Muslims, Americans with disabilities, a Gold Star family. I mean, that, to me, is far more troubling than whatever his most recent screed against my mom or my family

Well said Chelsea

It wasn't her home. Though she thought it was, since she stole the art off the walls and the silverware. It was the Secret Service that reported her violence and short fuse. And it's Trump's temperament that is called into question?

Trump is still yapping about Ms Universe,Alicia Machado and digging his hole deeper.

She still went ahead and became an American citzen despite her treatment by Trump & Co.

K Randall let's quibble... if you're a renter you're still entitled to privacy. I warrant you understood me. Deflection doesn't change the fact that that story was at best hearsay. Or did she confess to throwing ashtrays at Bill?

And at the same time the same people will call her "wooden" ie not emotional enough.

Chelsea is right. Everyday is gossip about Hillary day.

Oh for goodness sakes, Ole Bill is lucky that`s all she threw. Only a man would yap about a cheating husband being screamed at and items thrown at him.

He`s darn lucky she couldn`t pick up a chest of drawers.

Lay off the Kool-Aid. That stuff will rot your brain. When I studied math, Trump at 75% and Hillary The Corrupt at 24%would not have been a win for Hillary.

Breitbart.com
Who won the debate?

Donald Trump 75.31% (220,825 votes)
Hillary Clinton 24.69% (72,390 votes)
Total Votes: 293,215
