He is not qualified to be potus. His history and current actions/statements paint a picture of an egotistical man who is in it for the fame, money and ego food. I believe there are too many Americans who have a long memory and adding up recent events , Trump will not make it to the white house. But, Randall has heard this from me for years

It's just a crying shame there are some who can't read with comprehension. It's clear from the text of what Trump said that he wasn't talking about Hispanic American citizens and he wasn't talking about Hispanics here LEGALLY. Trump was talking about illegal alien Hispanics. History has already recorded that many of these illegal aliens who invaded America ARE...rapists, drug dealers, murderers AND human traffickers. The one thing Trump might be criticized for is saying "Mexico sends" them. Even that is subject to interpretation. When a government...through policy, cuts large segments of it's population out of maintaining even a subsistence standard of living..THEN...they are in effect sending them elsewhere. You've already lost this argument but feel free to keep digging your hole deeper. IP: Logged |

About my reading comprehension.... Trump's exact words "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people." He doesn't differentiate between Mexicans that are here legally vs illegally, he simply says "when Mexico sends it's people". So you are making assumptions that he meant illegal immigrants, even though that is not what he said. Also, just because he does not use the word all, it's clear that he is suggesting that the majority of people coming to the US from Mexico are criminals, drug dealers, and rapists. Then at the end he says "And some, I assume, are good people". In other words there may be a few decent human beings in the mix, but the majority are here to commit crimes, traffic in drugs, and rape people. Comprendo! His supporters are trying to put a positive spin on what he said, but this is a racist and xenophobic statement no matter which way you slice it.

It's obvious Trump was speaking in the context of Illegal Alien immigration when he made those remarks. Why did you leave out the parts which put his words into the context Trump intended, which is clear to those who have reading comprehension skills? Here, let me help you out so you won't continue in confusion. "When do we beat Mexico at the border? They're laughing at us, at our stupidity. And now they are beating us economically. They are not our friend, believe me. But they're killing us economically. The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else's problems. (APPLAUSE) Thank you. It's true, and these are the best and the finest. When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people. But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we're getting. And it only makes common sense. It only makes common sense. They're sending us not the right people. It's coming from more than Mexico. It's coming from all over South and Latin America, and it's coming probably -- probably -- from the Middle East. But we don't know. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don't know what's happening. And it's got to stop and it's got to stop fast. IT'S CLEAR, THE TOPIC WAS ILLEGAL ALIEN IMMIGRATION!
