None of which has a thing to do with what will happen to the world if we leave the Paris agreement.

The whole song and dance routine is about a NONBINDING AGREEMENT falsely demonized by Trump to makes himself look like a hero, and the question should be what will happen to the US if it insists on going back to Victorian isolationism, and dirty fuel production.

The outrage is also overblown. And the whole thing is a distraction from real news.

As for OK.. even their governor has admitted the connection between fracking and their earthquakes

Sorry, it is the population everywhere around the world pushing for it, not the elite. Check climate refugees, just for a start...

Back to the real topic, I am sure it will please a few Americans, the world is going on with the agreement, despite the US remaining outside, alongside Nicaragua who apprently decided to remain outside because it was judged insufficient and Syria because of the war. Even north korea has signed the Paris agreement.
And it's never too late to join, however, there is no hope to renegotiate like Trump argued...

Even if everyone did what they are supposed to, which they won't. the reduction in temp is only 2/10 of a degree, and that's both negligible and hypothetical. Climate projections are always wrong. This accord does nothing for the environment. But it does a lot to put us at a competitive disadvantage, allows China and India to pollute with impunity, and fills the coffers of the corrupt Green Climate Fund with billions from America. Had President Trump stayed in, the left would be crying foul, because he broke a campaign promise. Trump haters have to hate. It was the right decision. It puts America first.

Man made global warming was and is a hoax intended to strip wealth from America to the rest of the world. It's no wonder the Marxist Communist, Socialist, Progressive Obama loved the idea...along with the rest of the America Last Crowd.

President Trump is to be commended for telling the whole pack of Socialist conspirators to F-OFF.

Unfortunately, the "America last" president, Obama, already paid those charlatans $1 billion.

Nevermind, it is not a problem for you because your country is out, so why keeping arguing against it ?

If it pleases other countries to give billions to a green fund to help poor nation develop their green industries ?

And if the rest of the world agree on new regulations that will apply to companies who want to work around the world , let them be, why whinge ? Now you have what you want, your country is out because your president want to save 50 000 jobs in the coal industry.

You are happy, you are out, and as you see, the world is happy to go on with it...

And a few americans seems unhappy by Trump decision and can't wait to replace him...

The .2% cited is an average over the whole globe. Some places will see much more, some less, and none all at once. Damage will be done regardless. The writers of the study he quoted (atMIT)suggest he or his informants were Skimming at best.

Regional climate has nothing to do with global. It's naturally variable. And that's the flaw (one of many) in the doomsday religion.

China and India are contributing in a different way: By cutting dependence on Coal and adding more Solar Power exponentially year on year.
Educated Elites in these two polluting countries want to shift totally to Solar Power and Nuclear Power by 2050. Already Delhi and Beijing have the worst pollution rates in the World.

America pulling out is not an issue if China, India and even Russia cut Coal Based Thermal power by 75% in the next decade or so.

The Next Democrat President will rejoin for sure. For now, America Pulling out is a personal victory for Trump as he kept a campaign promise. Will this help America in the long run? Time will tell.

The facts he presented are fundamentally flawed. Despite our reductions we are still #2 carbon polluters worldwide.. and have less people than either China or India.

This is one area in which being FIRST is not necessarily BEST.. Whether your concerns are climatic or health/ resource related.

To give lip service to clean air and water while removing regulations for same is just Cant and Humbuggery

Whether change is local or global we all live in the same house and will feel the effects

I agree, time will tell. Other countries are already exceeding their commitments.

Climate Change does not Cause Asthma
Daniel John Sobieski

In the minds of the high priests of climate change, man’s alleged ravaging of the earth causes everything from original sin to the common cold. It was surprising that Hillary Clinton didn’t list it as an excuse for her lost election right after computer nerds in Macedonia. With President Trump pulling the U.S. out of the Paris climate fraud agreement, the prophets of doom have returned in full voice.

Former Secretary of State and failed presidential candidate John Kerry, who once said climate change was as big a threat to human life as Islamic State terror, says President Trump just gave the kids of the world the gift of asthma. As Fox News Insider reports:

Former Secretary of State John Kerry ripped President Trump's decision to abandon the Paris climate deal yesterday, saying the lungs of American children will take the hit.

"He is not helping the forgotten American ... their kids will have worse asthma in the summer," Kerry said on MSNBC Thursday.

Governor Jerry Brown of the failed state of California took the hysteria a little farther, rolling out the standard Democratic mantra that people will die as a result of Trump’s Paris exit. No doubt before he pushes granny over the cliff, Trump will first give her a bad case of asthma. As Real Clear Politics reported:

California Governor Jerry Brown blasted the President's decision to leave the Paris accord, describing it as a "crazy decision."

JERRY BROWN: My immediate reaction is this is a crazy decision. It is against the facts. It is against science. It is against reality itself. We know we have to decarbonize our future. If we don’t, it is a horror. People will die. Habitat will be destroyed. Seas will rise. Insects will spread in areas they never have before. This is not a game. It is not politics to talk to your base. It is humanity and whether it makes it through the 21st century. California will stay the course.

King Canute, the Viking king of England, Norway and Denmark was the legendary king whose sycophantic followers praised his power and wisdom. As the story goes, he once stood on the shore and commanded the waves to halt. Rather than exercising his ego he in fact was giving his followers a lesson in reality -- the power of man over nature is finite and inconsequential

States and the cities whose mayors, like King Canute, will try to make the seas recede are free to knock themselves out. Just ensure that the last person fleeing your jurisdictions turn out the lights. Poverty, not climate change, kills, and the Paris Accord was a recipe for global poverty. Wealthier societies are healthy societies that can develop the technology to guarantee clean air and water. Denying cheap fossil fuel energy to those in poverty keeps them poor and polluting the environment by burning animal dung to cook and keep warm.

Withdrawing from Paris will not cause biblical plagues. And I have news for Gov. Brown: insects are already everywhere. Some even hold elective office. Climate change does not cause asthma. For any increase, you have to look elsewhere as the air in recent decades has grown demonstrably cleaner with CO2 emissions declining thanks to increased use of natural gas unearthed by fracking.

Even President Obama once blamed global warming for giving his daughters asthma. He was as wrong then as John Kerry is now. As James S. Robbins wrote in USA Today:

President Obama blames global warming for his daughter's asthma. Today that's politically useful spin, but the science says something different. If you're looking for a culprit, it just might be Malia's dad.

The good news is that there is less reason for alarm than the White House suggests. The Environmental Protection Agency cautions that "outdoor air pollution and pollen may also worsen chronic respiratory diseases, such as asthma." Yet the EPA also reports that our air quality has substantially improved; aggregate emissions of common pollutants have decreased 62% between 1980 and 2013. It is unlikely that cleaner air is causing the increase in asthma….

Which brings us back to her father and his Marlboros….

No father wants to feel that his habits might hurt his children. But sometimes you have to look in the mirror to find the guilty party, not search the stratosphere for a hidden culprit.

The air has been getting cleaner and CO2 emissions have been declining. In fact, most pollutants have been declining, so if asthma is increasing, the cause must be blamed on something else besides emissions and climate change. As the Institute for Energy Research noted in 2015, is regulations on carbon dioxide emissions were as futile as King Canute’s commands to the sea::

In an attempt to garner support for the Environmental Protection Agency’s controversial regulation of carbon dioxide emissions from power plants, President Obama and EPA officials have taken to linking climate change to an issue that hits most Americans close to home: asthma. The problem is that carbon dioxide -- which the rule regulates -- does not cause asthma….

EPA claims its rule will improve America’s health by reducing criteria pollutants that contribute to asthma prevalence. Instead, the data show that while pollution has been dropping for decades, asthma rates are rising. This casts doubt on the health benefits of the EPA’s rule and suggests that other factors, such as poverty, may play a larger role in asthma development than air pollution.

The EPA is relying on dubious asthma claims because its climate rule has no discernible impact on climate change. Using the EPA’s own models, the climate rule reduces global warming by just 0.02 degrees Celsius and slows sea-level rise by just 0.01 of an inch by the year 2100—equivalent to the thickness of three sheets of paper.

The futility of the Paris Climate Accord mirrors the futility of the EPA regulations and severe doubts need to be cast on both. As the Institute for Energy Research documents that while child asthma rates rose 131% since 1980, sulfur dioxide was down by 81%, nitrogen dioxide was down by 60%, and ozone was down 33%, Since 1990, Particulate Matter 10 was down by 34%, as child asthma was up 43%. Since 2000, Particulate Matter 2.5 was down 34% as the child asthma rate was flat.

Both EPA climate regulations and the Paris Accord were all pain and no gain. They were sure to reduce economic growth and increase poverty and poverty is more likely to create conditions to increase asthma rates than anything coming out of the tailpipe of your SUV.

Two things are certain. Climate change does not cause child asthma and since we’ve left the Paris Accord we can all breathe easier.

Because you failed to comprehend what I said, you really blew it.

"This is your big chance to name those "other countries" who **gave**BILLIONS to the so called "Green Fund".

We know European nation are great at pledging money for this and for that. Actually ponying up the money they pledged is a different kettle of fish. For instance, NATO nations pledged 2% of their individual Gross Domestic Product..GDP to NATO to contribute to their common defense. But, that's not happened and it's the United States of America who contributes more than 70% of NATOs total expenditures. FreeLoaders!

Here's who is paying the agreed-upon share to NATO — and who isn't
Paul Szoldra and Associated Press
Feb. 16, 2017

Only five of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's 28 member countries last year met the alliance goal of spending at least 2% of their gross domestic product on defense.

"America will meet its responsibilities, but if your nations do not want to see America moderate its commitment to the alliance, each of your capitals needs to show its support for our common defense," Mattis said.

Here's a breakdown of each country's contribution, based on 2016 figures provided by NATO:

United States, 3.61%.
Greece, 2.38%.
Britain, 2.21%.
Estonia, 2.16%.
Poland, 2%.
France, 1.78%.
Turkey, 1.56%.
Norway, 1.54%.
Lithuania, 1.49%.
Romania, 1.48%.
Latvia, 1.45%.
Portugal, 1.38%.
Bulgaria, 1.35%.
Croatia, 1.23%.
Albania, 1.21%.
Germany, 1.19%.
Denmark, 1.17%.
Netherlands, 1.17%.
Slovakia, 1.16%.
Italy, 1.11%.
Czech Republic, 1.04%.
Hungary, 1.01%.
Canada, 0.99%.
Slovenia, 0.94%.
Spain, 0.91%.
Belgium, 0.85%.
Luxembourg, 0.44%.

Oh look! France didn't meet their NATO commitment either. But hey, we can all be assured France and other European nations will meet their "Green Fraud Fund" commitments. Right! Check!

Climate change may or may not exacerbate asthma.. some climates do.. warm muggy wrather can increase attacks.

However carbon pollution not only can but does induce asthma.. And far worse respiratory issues.. like copd, heart attacks, black lung...

So your misreading of what Kerry said doesnt make his statement wrong at all. It just highlights your own projections

And carbon pollution. Horse and carriage. The climate deniers can't have their carbon without the pollution. Air quality is what is driving China to cut back on fossils. People are dying for lack of clean air and water there.

We can better use those billions to really improve the quality of air and water instead of throwing them down a rat hole for a negligible (if any) improvement over the next 100 years.

And how do you think allowing unregulated unreported pollution is going to achieve that ? This was a NONBINDING AGREEMENT he could have implemented as he chose. The figures he quoted were hugely exaggerated. Other countries are already exceeding their commitments.

Wjat is the point? Showboating seems to be the answer despite the proselytizing by Bteitbart/White House news. Even they admitted his figures were "approximate".

Right. The one billion Obama paid was imaginary. And the other two billion we were going to pay was approximate. Wrong! And China doing nothing but build new coal plants for years was approximate? The only thing approximate was the neglible effect on warming, which was in reality statistically nothing.
