Actually it will, but thanks for whatever this was supposed to be. I said today, and for a reason. Your lack of empathy shows itself.

Why is it, jwhop, that you think only your small portion of the public should be represented Everywhere? If McCain were fit and wanted to run again he would likely be elected again despite the new push to rob the voters of choice of senators. That will take an amendment that isn't going to happen. There are many liberals and moderates in AZ.

You sound like you are in favour of taking the selection of senators out of the hands of the voters.. are you?

If you added Stein and "OTHERS" to Hillary The Corrupt's vote, Trump still wins.

Hard to break the delusional thinking habit.

Not by much. Arizona isn't owned by Republicans, just as this country isn't.

There are 6 million people in Arizona. Trump fielded 90k more than HRC.. actually very close to the number who voted for "Stein and others" and less than voted for Johnson.

Johnson was a protest vote for a lot of people.

As in the rest of the country many didn't vote at all, finding the choice ludicrous.

None of which defines AZ .. who have voted for McCain how many times? As your politcal soulmates.

Anyway when did you stop moaning about the Tyranny of the Majority?

And i love how you want to take the choice of senators away from the voters and give it to the Govnor.. do you think gerrymandering is firm enough to bring in an amendment?

You must be in one of your delusional stages.

ObamaCare was passed without a single republican vote in the House and without a single republican vote in the Senate.
Further, ObamaCare was a 2700 page bill handed out to Senators with only a few hours before the vote...just before midnight on Christmas Eve.

So much for your majority not having the authority to pass legislation.

Now, tell me about your "Secret Bill" conspiracy.

^@ the politico post by cat

quote:
I’ve been sympathetic to this impulse to denial, as one doesn’t ever want to believe that the government of the United States has been made dysfunctional at the highest levels, especially by the actions of one’s own party. Michael Gerson, a conservative columnist and former senior adviser to President George W. Bush, wrote, four months into the new presidency, “The conservative mind, in some very visible cases, has become diseased,” and conservative institutions “with the blessings of a president … have abandoned the normal constraints of reason and compassion.”

It's telling that the right and the alt right
have a license to disenfranchisement. We are so beleaguered! White, moneyed, entitled.

Yes they are so embittered by the mere election of a black democrat _ this led them to put all constraints on to: any policy changes any
reforms ...to be blocked- PERIOD.

Because he is a Marxist? a Messiah? Erm no he was black and democrat. PERIOD

You seen to have forgotten the months of bipartisan negotiations on the ACA.

THE HOUSE VERSION PASSED IN SEPTEMBER
THE SENATE MADE ONE AMENDMENT

There was a filibuster which delayed voting in the Senate if you remember? Was that Dems?? Hmm?

But the actual bill passed in March 2010

Please tell me where in this process anyone was shut out of negotiations or pushed for time to learn what was in the bill?

"THE SENATE MADE ONE AMENDMENT"

Bullshiiite!

The Senate did not amend the House bill. ObamaCare was passed under rules of reconciliation. Under reconciliation, the House and Senate Bills must be IDENTICAL. That's the only way for a bill like this to pass with only a bare majority vote in the Senate.

AND, no one read the 2700 page piece of crap.
AND, Nancy PeeLousy made her absurd statement...We have to pass this bill to find out what's in it.

They had plenty of time to read it dearie. It took from november to xmas to march for it to pass. Repubs complained about its DASTARDLY contents 😉Of course the "socialist" mandate.. first put forward by republicans and Heritage.. and the devision to stonewall it in lockstep made it pointless to bother reading it.. but..erm... what on earth were they arguing about if they didn't know what was in it? The stories cancel each other out.

If your claim that it was identical is true then all the less excuse. The bill passed the house in November and the final vote 4 MONTHS later. How long does it take you to read 2700 pages when your work demands it? That's a whopping 23 pp a day.

But i think you are wrong. And there was plenry of Repub input in the drafting of thr bill.. just not in voting on it 🤣🤣

Known as the "House bill", HR 3962 was the House of Representatives' chief legislative proposal during the health reform debate.

On December 24, 2009, the Senate passed an alternative health care bill, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (H.R. 3590).[2] In 2010, the House abandoned its reform bill in favor of amending the Senate bill (via the reconciliation process) in the form of the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.
