And I think I said before: if the Democrats are expected to give any money donated by Weinstein, to victim's charities, the same should be done by Donald Trump and the RNC. Because he IS a sexual predator. Where's your outrage?

You also don't see us making Weinstein president. You and all of his supporters, ignored the women, including the one who he silenced, that accused him of raping her when she was fifteen. People who don't SEE it don't want to believe it for whatever reason.. Loss of a career, loss of a president of their party, loss of respect for someone they otherwise admire. They want to believe it's gossip and malice on the part of those who DO see it

I agree 100% that politicians will take donations from anyone regardless of morals. The conservatives however, PRAISE DT for not attempting to be a moral example but being all about the money. When Dems take the money and run however, its depravity . They see it as totally reasonable that the Kochs should fund lawmakers who toe their line but EVIL that there are Dem donors equally self serving.

Enough already. You who voted for a man who has been openly and legally accused of rape and harassment, who laughed about using celebrity and power to assault women.. are worse enablers in my book than people who didn't want to think rumours were true about a man who wielded great power over their lives and careers.

Donald Trump's first wife, Ivana Trump, said today that she is "the best of friends" with her ex-husband, responding to a report in the Daily Beast on Monday that cited her 1989 divorce case deposition in which the former Mrs. Trump claimed Trump allegedly raped her once.

A statement today from Ivana Trump appeared to refute the allegations in the deposition, which were revealed in a 1993 book, "The Lost Tycoon: The Many Lives of Donald J. Trump."

"I have recently read some comments attributed to me from nearly 30 years ago at a time of very high tension during my divorce from Donald," she said in the statement today. "The story is totally without merit. Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised 3 children that we love and are very proud of."

Ivana Trump had already walked back the rape allegation in 1993 as the book was about to be published.

She has also said she is angling for an Ambassadorship. And that she is the real First Lady. She certainly strikes me as more like him than Melania who appears to care about a few things besides herself. But then Ivana isnt so pretty these days either is she.

And whatever Ivana said to the press, UNDER OATH she said he raped her. Of course you're free to choose which of those contradictory statements is true..if any. She is still saying whatever she thinks will get her the most access to the Donald and his money/power

And backing down on that accusation to stay in his good books.. exactly the same dynamic that feeds the Harvey Weinsteins of the world.

Yes many women are complicit in this dynamic. Having given up on ever achieving the true power they want they use it to ride the coattails of powerful men.

But every time you pretend that Weinstein (or other Dem-only men) is not operating on an age old principle that laughs off "locker room talk" as "normal" you are supporting more Weinsteins.. Aileses, OReillys and Trumps.

Every time you blame the woman who was scared into silence

It never ceases to amaze me how some people can bombast about the evils of bigotry at one moment while breathing forth their own form of prejudice in the next. A prime example of such hypocritical bigotry was the Law School Coalition for Civil Rights (CCR) rally on Friday, February 26 in support of granting tenure to University of Michigan law professor Catharine MacKinnon, a longtime advocate of state-enforced censorship and sex discrimination.

MacKinnon's published writings reflect a venomous hatred for men as a class, stereotyping all men as rapists, and display contempt for heterosexuals in general. Wild animadversions such as "marital sex is sexual harassment is rape" and "heterosexuality is the eroticization of dominance and submission" full her speech and writings. (Ironically, MacKinnon herself recently married a feminist man, demonstrating that even she doesn't believe her absurd claims about marriage being rape.) MacKinnon asserts that nearly all heterosexual sex is rape, questioning even "whether consent is a meaningful concept."
