She says she was alone in the room with Seagal when he asked her to sit next to him on a couch. After she declined, she says Seagal asked her to take her clothes off even though the part required no nudity. McCarthy says she walked out of the audition, but Seagal followed her and warned her not to tell anyone.

As the Harvey Weinstein scandal spreads like an STD throughout the entertainment industry worldwide, as the courage of those coming forward to name names inspires similar courage in others, we cannot allow ourselves to become so accustomed to the allegations that they lose their power to outrage.

Although some male victims have come forward, the alleged victims here are mostly vulnerable young women and children. Worse, so far, all of the alleged abusers are the very men whose primary responsibility in any civilized society is to protect women and children.

As a means to understand just how, yes, institutional these allegations are, here is a list (in no particular order) of the accused and their alleged misdeeds, which will be updated as needed.

Unless otherwise indicated, these stand only as allegations.

So far, 73 and counting…

Is there any doubt the entertainment industry, that Harveywood is enabling an unspeakable war on women … and children?

The Breitbart article is all about believing and protecting the women when the action is in Hollywood. Not so much in their own back yard (or front room)

Bannon needs to shut up about other men.. his wife brought charges against him for assault.. and claims she backed away from court only after some pretty heavy threats from his team.

this is a very dicey arena. Allegations can ruin a career in no time flat without ever being proved. There is the feeding frenzy (by papers aptly named VULTURE^^), the copy cats, the ulterior motives.. and yes, sometimes totally false accusations. There is the tendency to blame all men for being like this, and the temptation to call it s Hollywood disease, a political disease, a goldiggers dream..

Lets not make capital out of it. There is no one group that is guilty nor innocent of this group of behaviours which basically boil down to greed and abuse of power.

When it comes down to it Moore has no business running for office till thid is cleared up ands his party are behaving perhaps worse than Anyone in trying to find some way of rationalizing it away so they can have a shot at the Senate seat.

And those among us who sneer about people voting for Clinton before his scandal was in the open... tut tut

The hotline, which launches December 1st, will also be part of an effort that includes a pro-bono legal aid service. Variety reports:

Women in Film said Friday that its Sexual Harassment Help Line and Pro-Bono legal aid panel will be integrated programs to refer men and women in need of assistance to other survivors, designated mental health counselors, law enforcement professionals, and civil and criminal lawyers and litigators. The help line will also serve as a crisis center and centralized information source.

After multiple women came forward to accuse Harvey Weinstein, the Hollywood producer, of sexual misconduct, at least 20 high-profile men in a variety of industries have also been accused. Since then, a number have resigned, been fired or experienced other fallout after claims ranging from inappropriate text messages to rape.

I would expect the President to be held to a higher standard than a fictional one. The Republicans had no problem impeaching Bill Clinton over a blow job, and they kept throwing his name around, in response to those of us who didn't want sexual predator Trump in the White House. They don't care, as long as their guy wins. He said himself that he could shoot someone, and they would still support him. The same apparently goes for raping his ex-wife, cheating on her and the others, goodness knows how many times, groping women, forcing himself on them in different ways.

I definitely expect more from the President. If only Republicans did.

Arianna Huffington was perfectly poised to position herself as the feminist savior who would advocate for Uber’s women—she oversaw the subsequent Eric Holder investigation, and promised that “no brilliant jerks will be allowed, and no one will be protected because they are top performers.” But being a powerful woman with a stake in a company, and its profits, doesn’t mean Huffington was actually the best choice to champion women struggling to make their voices heard.
