The lesson the Democrats seem to have learned from 2016 isn’t that they failed to earn the people’s votes, but rather that the electorate didn’t deserve the benign leadership offered by their standard-bearer, Hillary Clinton. Or, as she herself put it, “I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward. And his whole campaign, ‘Make America Great Again,’ was looking backwards.” One would think that, after two years of such self-flattering rationalization, the Democrats would wake up to reality and stop denigrating the people whose votes they must have to win elections.

Instead, they have managed to convince themselves that they lost in 2016 because President Trump and his supporters are bigots. They stand on the floor of the House and refer to the president’s supporters as “just plain dumb.” Democratic representatives appear on talking-head shows and call Trump himself a racist. Democratic presidential candidates accuse him of “using race like a weapon to divide our country against itself.”........

how do you propose we stop killing our planet? what do you do to actively help?

where do you shop? what do you drive? do you use plastic? what companies do you support? do you garden and have a sustainable food source of your own (preferably local plants though because non native plants can be invasive and cause problems)? is that sustainable food source chemical free? are you planting trees to make up for deforestation and forest fires? are you volunteering to stop any of those fires? what kinds of soap do you use? do you support smaller farms and businesses? how about local apiaries? are you recycling? are you converting to solar power?

i'm asking people who are preaching what they do because to just tell others what they should do (which is what you're doing btw so "tend to your own garden") rather than making an example of yourself makes everything you say seem rather hypocritical and pointless

i mentioned plastic and **** because i was just talking about taking care of the planet in general which apparently neither of them care about because they don't seem to have a list of things they do to help

it's easier to point fingers and demand that other people jump up and do something than to do anything yourself though i suppose is what it comes down to
