Nolte: The Left’s Eating Itself. Let them Fight.
John Nolte
5 Jun 2020

Last weekend hundreds of people came out in my little town to protest the tragic death of George Floyd. This protest took place less than three miles from my house. Want to know how I found out about it? Well, because it was perfectly peaceful and didn’t involve firebombs and rioting, I found out about it four days later in my local paper.

Hundreds came out in my little town! Hundreds. It was mostly students from the Alma Mater I dropped out of, but still… Hundreds! And not a peep of unrest. Just Americans being Americans.

You see, that’s how we roll out here in Rural America. While the stupid Democrats who vote for Democrats stress and worry about another round of looting and burning this weekend in their Democrat-run cities, all I’m worried about is the weather. I got grass to cut … on my tractor mower … the one with the bourgeois cup holder.

If Democrats want to riot in Democrat-run cities, what the hell do I care? How does this affect me? I’m not responsible for it. I didn’t vote for it. Hell, if it weren’t for my job, I’d hardly be paying attention.

Blue on blue violence is not my problem. The left eating itself is not my problem. In fact, the only feeling all this mayhem emits from me — and I’m not terribly proud of this — is a twinge of smug satisfaction in the form of Toldjaso.

The moment Barack Obama embraced and legitimized the left-wing terrorists in Occupy Wall Street (that have now morphed into Antifa and Black Lives Matter), I toldjaso. The moment Obama and the corporate media embraced the Trayvon Martin, Hands Up, Don’t Shoot, and Baltimore hoaxes, I toldjaso. I saw the writing on the wall and got the hell out of Los Angeles in 2011.

The left is eating itself.

Watching conservatives stress over this baffles me.

As the meme goes Let them fight.

I can understand the stress if you’re a Republican living in a Democrat-run city, but you need to get out. It’s just that simple… You need to get out. Unfortunately, things are going to get a lot worse before they get better — but they will get better, just like things got better after all the unrest of the 60s.

Eventually, even Democrats will sue for peace by voting for a Rudy Giuliani, because all this baloney about social justice is just the Democrat Party reverting to the soft-on-crime party that imploded in 1972.

Relax.

Sit back.

You get what you vote for and Democrats voted for this.

Sorry, but it’s a waste of time to care about people more than they care about themselves.

I’m certainly not happy about what’s happening. It's just what it is. So…

Let them fight.

It gets better…

As though my Toldjaso Cup has not runneth over enough already these past ten days, the New York Times is embroiled in a civil war. On Thursday, a fight broke out between the aging liberals and the young fascists, and the fascists won — the blacklisters won.

Let them fight.

What the hell do I care if the New York Times blacklists opinion? I haven’t been a serious consumer of the Times in over a decade. There’s a ton of alternate media out there, tons of places for Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) to publish an op-ed.

This isn’t the end of the world. This isn’t the end of free speech. This is one more step in the total disintegration of a far-left news outlet, and that pleases me to no end.

This is not just happening at the Times. It’s also happening at *teehee* the far-left Variety, where the left ate its own editor-in-chief, Claudia Eller. You’re gunna love why… Her groveling We’re Not Diverse Enough confession was not groveling enough.

Fourteen months ago, Eller was accepting awards from something called the National Lesbian and Gay Journalists Association, and today she got cancelled by her own.

Last night, while the monsters Eller helped create ran around the Twitters with her head on pig pole, I was LOL’n watching my Jeffersons DVDs.

The left eating itself is not my problem.

Over the past few days, the left just canceled the very face of the most left-wing television show of the last 20 years, Glee. To be honest, I took no pleasure in watching her get picked apart in front of the whole world. It was beyond revolting. Still…

Let them fight.

And now we’ve arrived at Defund the police!

Oh, yes, please do…

Please do defund the police in Democrat-run cities…

This I gotta see.

Good people need to get out of the cities.

All of us need to get out of the left’s way.

Regardless of what the media are trying to portray it as, this is nothing close to a nationwide movement or revolution. Rather, it’s a bubbled temper tantrum unfurling in a few dozen deep blue bubbles.

Let them fight.

I’m not as familiar with independent values, but the Republican Party is pretty split (though not nearly as horribly as the democrat party is, right now). If you go republican, carefully check voting habits and legislative histories of each person you’re voting for, because of this split. Some vote on party lines, but don’t propose any sort of legislation of their own, too.

Good luck finding some solidarity, my friend.

I have more in common with my Republican friends in terms of values and concerns right now, especially in this part of the country. As I said, I’ve already been down the lib avenue and have no intention of revisiting that.

And I should add the usual suspects, if you’re willing to give each of these guys an open listen to see who gels with you. They’re from various parties, various places on the economic and authoritarian scales. Most are easy to find on YouTube and Twitter.

Stephen Crowder, most famous for his “change my mind” segments, conservative and a political comedian too.

Tim Pool, tries to straddle the lane, a moderate - who just yesterday officially swore off the democrat party, because like you, fed up with the crazy.

Eric July, a no-nonsense libertarian, who is an ancap, so may be too right-wing for you economically.

Ben Shapiro, the guy the left loves to villainize, conservative.

Candace Owans, newbie, a leading voice for #blexit, the black walkaway movement from the democrat party.

Dave Rubin is an interesting addition - used to actually be a member of the Young Turks, but had a hard #exit of his own, a classic liberal libertarian, so might be too liberal for you.

I don’t know an independent talkers, sadly.

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we severed our family’s relationship with The Pit in Arroyo Grande today. (I never even Yelp a bad sandwich because I love our community and never want to speak Ill of a local business.) But turning assault weapons on your own community members with different views coupled with this video stating that “Carona Virus is a hoax” when you are a gym that is open and welcoming our children?!
My 76 year old dad (against our advice), my friends, my Mayor were in that crowd! Should they be threatened with a weapon?
Bobby has gone to this gym for years, but no more.

The facts: the cities and police departments of Arroyo Grande and Grover Beach mobilized on VERY short notice to create a safe space for free, peaceful speech. There were no less than 9 public agencies that showed up to keep everyone safe. The “business protection” groups were also contacted and asked to please remain on the outskirts of the event to keep congestion and confrontation to a minimum. This was ignored as they parked in the middle and disrupted a moment of silence. This was anger, provocation, and intimidation- not protection. Now please imagine if these gun photos were photos of people of color. Would this have ended with a warning and collective eye roll from our community?

I understand that we’ve all seen violence on TV. But we are NOT those cities and other central coast events have gone off peacefully with zero harm to business. I take pride in the fact that we are truly a purple community - a place where we can still have friends that don’t 100% agree with us on everything. We need MORE of that - not less. I talk, I listen, sometimes I bite my tongue - HARD!, but ultimately I learn.

I refuse to accept us becoming a place where we point guns at people we disagree with - friends, clients, community members.

We are responsible gun owners and WOULD NEVER turn them on our neighbors!
My husband has treated people with this virus and puts all of us at risk daily. There were 50 new cases in Santa Maria recently. I won’t give my dollars to people calling it a hoax.

I called the Pit because I felt I owed that. I was told to understand, they’ve lost 3 months of revenue, etc. and needed to protect, etc. Everyone in this community has been affected! We don’t take it out in each other with violence or intimidation. This is the time to band together and that is not what I saw from these business protection groups being rude and disrespectful during a moment of silence yesterday.

Looking the other way on things that are morally WRONG to get along has gotten us to this point. I just can’t do it anymore.
I have heard some parents plan to call in the Arroyo Grande City Council meeting on this for public comment this Tuesday 6pm. 1-833-493-5844

Tagging friends that may be interested in this issue.

Corona virus is a hoax, and people are allowed to show up with assault rifles, as a counter-protest.

Jwhop, we've discussed which way the the military and police will lean in an hypothetical (ahem) insurrection. You have long insisted they will lean right and maintain the peace. I disagreed. How can I explain the many cops and soldiers marching, dancing, and taking the knee to protestors? Is this an attempt to quell violence? Are they being bullied into allyship as are so many Americans? Are they genuinely in favor of the protests and riots? Are they under orders to comply? What's going on here?

Butting in before I dip, but this is the equivalent of giving someone a gold star or patting them on the head and saying “ good job” to make them feel better (in this case, stop destroying stuff). The protesters are conflating the real issue (police brutality) with their perceived issue (racism). Racism is mostly a non-issue in this country, and hasn’t been for decades. Ask a person if they think racism is bad, and you’d be hard pressed to find someone who disagrees. Police brutality has been a festering problem since the late 90s with increasing militarization. So when you have protesters here directly asking the police if they think racism is bad and waving their BLM signs, OF COURSE they’ll agree and take their side. They’re implicitly begging the miscreants to cease causing problems. That’s why they proceed to continue shooting tear gas and rubber bullets later that evening, because race is not the motivating factor for the police force. They agree with peace, not with disorder.

Then, we'll continue to disagree on this subject. You're talking small numbers of police and soldiers making nice with peaceful protesters. That doesn't mean they even agree with them.

If democrats and their brownshirts, Antifa and BLM manage to kick off a full scale insurrection...as opposed to the democrat blue city insurrections, you'll find police and military taking them down. If they try to take their act to the suburbs, they'll be lucky if they don't exit in body bags. Anyone watching, reading or listening to the political propaganda arm of the democrat party, the press, is getting entirely the wrong impression of what most Americans think about these riots and looting.
