I didn't vote for him in the first place and I was pretty open about that, on here. I voted for HRC and do not regret that choice.

But the left is making this choice really easy, for moderate Democrats. The choice is no longer Biden or Trump. The choice is anarchy, lawlessness, and censorship or one nation under God. I choose one nation under God, and I think most Americans, whether Democratic or Republican, will do the same. Because at the end of the day, I would like to be able to walk down a city street without having to pass through a "police free zone" where who knows what could happen. I would like to be able to call 911 and have someone actually respond to my cries for help. Among many, many other rights, benefits, and blessings that we have for being one nation with one leader and yes, a police force. It's not crazy to desire safety and security - it's a goal that everyone in our country should strive for, but it's apparent that many do not share those values.

NY city council - actual legislative representatives - is motioning to remove Jefferson from the city hall. The same Jefferson that authored the Declaration of Independence. You cannot blame this on outliers or college kids. This is the institution.

Rioters have torn down a statue of Washington and draped it with a burning American flag. They graffitied “F*** cops” and “colonizer” on the base. Meanwhile, the mob screams and chants “black lives matter” and revels in the ashes of liberty.

These guys are not Americans in their heart, they are enemies of our country. This is the manifestation of civil war, and the gullible people on the left who just want to support the righteous message “racism bad” are the hapless pawns that enable and exasperate it. Anyone who dares defy the mob is a racist scumbag, instead of the average American that cherishes this country and our freedoms.

It might surprise you, but I am not a “Trump person”. I actually agree that Trump should apologize after the investigation into him is complete and exonerates him, but I don’t expect that he will. Trump is not the type to apologize, but that is also part of why people put him in the White House to begin with. They don’t want a leader that kowtows. The folks threatening the guy and his lawyer ought to be liable for their actions.

That said, numerous democrat elected officials are enabling and encouraging mass riots while simultaneously denying the basic first amendment right to go to church, introducing motions that are anti-American, and the mob is operating under far left ideology which runs counter to America’s founding principles of liberty and self-accountability. Adding injury to insult, these officials are releasing the miscreants that have literally broken the law back onto the street instead of prioritizing the safety of the community at large. I feel they are the larger threat to our country at this time than a guy who is just a world-class dick. He at least seems to love this country, and is calling out the lawlessness and blatant double standard. Moreover, he is a populist, just one man, easily replaced at the end of the day, whereas the leftists are pervasive in all our institutions, from government to media to our educational system and military. If Trump goes, we’re sliding into full-blown authoritarianism. Free speech is already nearly dead on the Internet.

Moderates like me are picking their fights based on existential threat. The left absolutely cannot acknowledge or see it, because they operate on an emotional level. This isn’t inherently a bad thing, but they’re currently in rage mode. “Orange man bad”, and any example that counters this narrative must be racist conspiracies and must be cancelled. I’ve seen this exchange countless times.

I see leftists cheering the “exodus”, but the conservative users are not actually leaving Twitter. I think a lot are concerned about echo chambers, so straddle the fence to keep an eye on the left. They really just want an unstifled and unthrottled voice. Problem is that there’s a conservative concentration among users, and the left refuse to disentangle from Twitter. I just see it developing into a parallel economic situation that doesn’t meaningfully intertwine.
