#1 There were people who FORCED their way into the Capitol building (breaking windows, pushing barricades, tussling with cops, climbing walls), these qualify as rioters, and these people should pay the consequences. I do not support them and what they did. I perfectly understand how from a Biden supporter point of view, these people were a scary sight and presented a danger to democracy because this is the Capitol building we are talking about.

What percentage of those people were planted as agent provocateurs and agitators? We won't know this information unless files are declassified...

#2 There were people who just walked into the Capitol building after the doors were opened - many of these people were let in by the police, and the police even escorted them around. This is shown plainly on the footage tapes. The harshest sentences they should get is of trespassing if anything.

Not that #2 should be excused because they exercised poor judgement, but the problem is that the narrative you embraced completely ignores them and claims that there were only #1 people. Many of those #2 people are rotting in jail on trumped up charges and sentences.
