Body cam footage from the July police shooting was released yesterday.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/dramatic-video-footage-shows-shooting-ambush-in-fargo-that-killed-an-officer-last-month/ar-AA1foUNV Mohammad Barakat, 37, shot and killed Fargo Police Officer Jake Wallin, 23, and wounded officers Andrew Dotas and Tyler Hawes, authorities said. Barakat also wounded a bystander, Karlee Koswick, who was involved in the fender bender, as she tried to flee.
Officer Zach Robinson, who killed the shooter, hasn't been charged. I don't believe there have yet been any significant protests?
Mohammad Barakat was a Syrian national who came to the U.S. on an asylum request in 2012 and became a U.S. citizen in 2019. He was equipped with handmade explosives, 1,800 rounds of ammunition, and multiple firearms. Based on his recent internet searches it's believed he was headed to a downtown Fargo festival to commit a mass causality event.
Here's an example where one heartbreakingly young police officer lost his life for the sake of dozens of others. And it barely made the news. Was a one and done report. Why?
