Stock markets are down because Trump's tariffs are even worse than anticipated. The so-called "reciprocal" tariffs are not based on actual tariffs the other countries use for U.S. products but on the trade deficit. That is absolutely not the same. This is going to lead to a sharp increase in price of many products for U.S. citizens and will hurt the economy. Not everything can be produced in the U.S., plenty of products require machines or knowledge that is currently unavailable in the U.S. and would require massive investments that aren't viable if they are only to cater for the U.S. market. And neither is it a good idea to make everything in the U.S., just basic Ricardian economic theory. In addition, Trump has already angered a lot of the traditional allies and this only makes it worse. I suspect all the countries that have already issued a negative travel advice for the U.S., are going to stop investing and posibly withdraw the investments they already made. http://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c93gq72n7y1o IP: Logged |

No, the stock markets are down because the markets hate uncertainty. This was to be expected. It's temporary. It is necessary. Growth paings will pass. Regardless of your fear, everything is going to work out amazingly. Wait and watch. President Trump charged far less than he could have, so reciprocal wasn't actually so. IP: Logged |

The trump cult is destroying this country. And, of course, that’s exactly what Putin wants. IP: Logged |

You are both addicted to fear. The plan is saving this country. “The sky is not falling,” to all the Chicken Littles. To lend some perspective, the stock market is higher than it was this time last year. Gasp! Crickets when it fell under Biden! Our nation will be more prosperous than ever in history once President Trump is done.IP: Logged |

No, we aren’t. God, I’m so sick of the gaslighting. My jaw is still swollen, and we can barely afford to live as it is. For first time ever (28 years) Fox News just removed the stock market ticker from their broadcasts.

Then why is every post you two make fear-based? Funny how on June 26, 1996, Pelosi gave a speech on how we need reciprocal tariffs with China. And a brilliant young Donald Trump saw even then how we need reciprocal tariffs in 1988 while speaking with Oprah on the Oprah Winfrey Show.IP: Logged |

Not learning from the past is stupid. Warning for repeating mistakes is not “fear based”. Doing the same thing but expecting a different outcome is the definition of stupidity. And like I mentioned, these are not reciprocal tariffs. Trump just used a completely different definition and calls it “reciprocal”. He’s not matching tariffs, he’s starting a trade war based on trade deficits. Trade wars always end up doing serious damage to the economy. No serious economic reccomends doing this. But billionaire oligarchs love recessions. They’re the only demografische that actually get richer during recessions. Inequality will rise dramatically. IP: Logged |

As I said, President Trump is using less amounts rather than matching them. Time will prove one of us right. IP: Logged |

No, his tariffs are higher. WTO calculates the EU has a tariff level of 4.8% on U.S. goods, nowhere near the 39% Trump claims or the 20% he now imposes. He even has put a tariff on Heard island, where only penguins live. How is that reciprocal? Nothing is lost. The markets will bounce right back and then continue to soar. Globalists hate that idea. Even Obama said in a speech in 2009 that we need reciprocal tariffs. When the tax plan passed in about two weeks, we will see a boom. Hang on. Don’t panic. We provide defense for Japan and for Germany, yet American cars are locked out those markets. Is that fair? Cliff Notes: Hell no, it's not fair! President Trump is resetting global trade. It is going to be glorious. IP: Logged |

It isn’t. Why is everything from trump, Elon, faux news, and the gop, fear-based? Republicons have spread fear here, too. In order to get your con man elected. So many things to choose from, as an example, but does anyone remember THE MIGRANTS ARE EATING OUR PETS?? They weren’t! But people here decided to post as though they were. JD Ass said they were, and then after being corrected, said that he was prepared to lie. Your con man said they were eating pets. That is called spreading fear. IP: Logged |

One of the emails I received in my spam folder, from republicans who are addicted to fear, and spreading it, as well. quote:
“Shoot at ICE Agents on sight.” That’s the message from one Liberal activist, this is what we are up against. As President Trump works with us to deport illegal immigrant gang members, murderers, and rapists, some Liberals are actually calling for our brave ICE and Border Patrol agents to be shot! If that doesn’t make your blood boil, then I don’t know what will… This is Trump’s former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo making an urgent plea for help to stop these Liberal nutjobs and support the men and women who keep us safe. I have created the Border Security Fund to support America First Conservatives who will work to secure our border and secure America. But after the last election, our fund is almost entirely depleted. RUSH SUPPORT NOW PROTECT OUR BORDER If I can't get $7,128 more to our Border Security Fund we won't be able to support any more law and order Conservatives…which means the Radical Democrats will win. TAKE ACTION NOW This is incredibly serious, and I'm personally asking you to help out however you can. We are already seeing a wave of support coming in, but it just isn’t enough. Will you step up and lend us a hand? God Bless, Mike Pompeo
He is SO full of **** ! Not their beloved ICE agents!! and I thought the 2nd amendment was for people to grunt, and threaten people with their guns, because that's all "the right" ever do. IP: Logged |

And here's another grifter, spreading fear, and demanding money I don't have, but also wouldn't give to him, if I did. quote:
Co-Pilot, I’ve checked the engines. My flight goggles are on. I’m ready to get off the ground, but I can’t do it without you. My name is John James. I’m an unapologetic black conservative Christian and a former U.S. Army Apache helicopter pilot. I’ve fought terrorists in the skies before, but NOTHING compares to the upcoming fight I’m preparing for now: defending Michigan against the radical Left in Washington. Right now, the Democrats are SEEKING REVENGE in my district. They are prepared to call in their biggest DARK MONEY donors to defeat me. They know that if they win here, they take the majority. In 2022 and 2024, our race defined our Republican House majority. Now, during the midterms, the fight will become even more difficult. This race is going to come down to our grassroots team, and I’m counting on my A-Team of co-pilots in this mission. Can you chip in NOW to help me DEFEND Michigan? PITCH IN $10 PITCH IN $25 PITCH IN $50 PITCH IN $100 PITCH IN $250 PITCH IN OTHER AMOUNT The Left is pulling out all the stops to defeat me because I’m living proof that their woke agenda is nothing but a bunch of racist lies. They’d love nothing more than to HUMILIATE a black Republican and replace me with a woke socialist. But I’m not about to let that happen, and I know you won’t either. Please, if you can, pitch in NOW to help us DEFEND our House majority! PITCH IN $10 PITCH IN $25 PITCH IN $50 PITCH IN $100 PITCH IN $250 PITCH IN OTHER AMOUNT Thank you, John James
I wouldn't give a dime to the radical lunatic right, who are always seeking revenge, and can't calm down for one ******* minute. IP: Logged |

I’m listening to people talking about the stock market crash, and people being unable to buy food, and remembering the excuses that were given for January 6th and the insurrection. ECONOMIC ANXIETY. I know that one of those people was planning to move out of the country. What about the others? Some are still here. So economic anxiety is a good excuse for insurrection. There are people who think rumpy wants people to be so upset, that they riot. So that he can call for martial law. He wouldn’t understand why people are so upset. He wouldn’t tell them that he loves them. He would call them the enemy within. IP: Logged |

They would be an enemy lol. You say obvious things like they're got'chas. There being mass division of people is no secret, and yeah if you're against him you're an enemy of his, that's how this works. This is necessary to achieve the goals he's lining out very clearly. Riots are often ineffectual because they're disorganized, and knowing martial law would be a way to come down on people and an immediate reasonable enough response at a critical war time where massive changes are going on they would be a horrible move withoutclear vision yes. However they're hardly the only move, there's still moves to make (nonviolent ones even) that sidestep a lotof logistics problems in hard times. People aren't adapting yet, give things time and they'll get more desperate and start to change. If the lifestyle you once knew is no longer able to be maintained then you need to find ways to navigate that. People will learn or they won't. Sink or swim. It's no different than life is anyway for the vast majority of people, you think the old safety nets caught everyone? You think people haven't been putting too much pressure on a government to care for them instead of having societal values that benefit them en masse without leaving so much to people they let control their lives and gamble their safety away with war games and power plays? This is the result of giving so much away for so long. Doesn't mean all there is to do is run away, all there is to do is learn and adapt if things get hard. Make moves that count, be aware of the moves that are restricted for you and find the ones that aren't. If you can't see options you haven't looked. IP: Logged |

January 6th also happened at the end of rumpy’s last presidency. So that would have been on him, too. Not Biden. Why were they rioting for their beloved Trump, if he was the cause of their economic anxiety? IP: Logged |

Disingenuous comment when the answer would be obvious. Biden was going to be put into office on the 20th they were riled up due to that and it's obvious. Unless you're suggesting it was a false flag attack and they're secretly leftists... are you? IP: Logged |

The stock market drop is temporary. Now is the time to invest. The globalists have had their @sses handed to them by President Trump. They are finished and done for. There will be no New World Order. The World Economic Forum bowed on one knee to President Trump. The media is trying to gain importance again by stoking fear, but Main Street isn’t buying it this time. No one is starving because of tariffs. Main Street doesn’t care about tariffs. They trust President Trump. He is more popular than ever. Two years was all this country had left if under Harris. Business as usual would have collapsed us. Let the Chicken Littles enjoy their fear porn while President Trump resets the global economy and cements America’s dominance forever. Fifty countries want to negotiate a tariff deal. Many more will follow. China will never rule the world. Their economy can be crushed by us. It’s a new world. While selfish Dems are trying to hold on to their fake climate change gravy train for themselves, President Trump is heralding in the new Golden Age for America!IP: Logged |

While I agree things were going towards collapse anyway, I think there's a lot of blind faith going on here. America has a lot of leverage that could be used effectively, I won't deny that. Issues can be temporary, a worse before it gets better life adjusts kind of deal, I won't deny that either. However it would be unwise to not view the entire board and all its players and possibilities and put a man on a pedestal as a savior without seeing the scope of the fallout and responses to the moves being made. I understand expecting things to go a certain way, but you speak as if victory is set in stone and as if there's nothing hidden beneath the surface on any side. IP: Logged |

There's no blind allegiance in a savior. With me, it's just obvious as to what will happen. The only question for me is exactly how great things are going to be? The sky is the limit. We won't recognize this country in two years, and that is a very good thing. A little short-term pain for a lot of gain is a great trade-off. Meanwhile, Harris popped out from under a rock and said, "I told you so." She would rather the country go down in flames than for President Trump to be right. Good things are coming. Just hang on.
