I guess it would be in the same ways that they’re being treated by Christian nationalists here. They don’t have to go to what’s left of Palestine, where they would currently be bombed, sniped, and starved in an ongoing genocide. I got to grow up in a country with free healthcare. But that's not what Trump is doing. He's actually putting more power into the hands of corporations. Creating a bigger wealth gap. I'm from North Western Europe. A capitalism and socialism hybrid. We were one of the first countries to legalize same sex marriage, being trans or gender fluid is not an issue in my country. And it's functioning pretty well. Even though ultra right wing news outlets like to pretend we're almost broke and overrun with criminal migrants. We have our issues, but we score really well in hapiness, health, education, equality and safety. Usually we're in the top 10 of those statistics. I have a very good life. I'm well educated, I have good job market perspectives, I'm healthy, have my own house, no financial worries. Kids are doing well too. And even if I would get sick, I wouldn't lose my job or go bankrupt due to healthcare costs. I have savings. I went to Venice with my kids last year, and will be going to Sicily with them next week. I'm actually living, not just surviving. Yet according to MAGA I should be miserable and living in hell on earth. But that just isn't true. When you look at the most liberal countries versus the most conservative countries, don't you see a trend? Most people that live in authoritarian regimes are miserable. Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Luxemburg, Switzerland, The Netherlands and Germany all have policies that MAGA considers woke, liberal, toxic, socialism and truly what would end society. Google "most conservative countries" and tell me you would like to live in those countries? Would you want to live in Afghanistan, Iran, Yemen, North Korea or Russia? Abortion bans, trad wives, no trans and gay, protectionism and the "our country is the greatest" attitude. But also theocracies, overglorified leaders, militarized societies, rampant nepotism and corruption, a small ridiculously wealthy elite and a huge poor and oppressed working class population. This is all connected. You see it all around you, and still you will choose this with all your chest?

He isn't putting with that shite. And no, that's not a consumption tax because no one has to buy foreign goods. We get to choose what we buy. That's not a tax. Why are you so concerned about what Americans pay? I somehow think that you are more concerned about criticizing President Trump. Did you see how he was treated at the UFC event recently? That is how his voters feel about him. We are going to stick it out and watch the Golden Age emerge.
She sounds more rational than you. IP: Logged |

You're the most irrational person here, so you would not be one to judge rationality. IP: Logged |

Gay people are thrown of the roofs in conservative countries. The more conservative they are, the bigger the risk of being thrown of the roof for deviating from the "norm". The U.S. is on a very slippery path. Christian nationalists are gaining political influence. These are the same people that see Putin as an example. And this is part of the reason why Trump keeps claiming that Ukraine is the aggressor. http://news.northeastern.edu/2023/03/08/christian-nationalists-putin-russia/ http://theconversation.com/putins-russia-first-arrests-under- new-anti-lgbt-laws-mark-new-era-of-repression-226864 IP: Logged |

Don't confuse passionate with irrational. I truly don't understand, how you cannot see what is happening. How can you keep defending the deconstruction of your own country. I can understand how you want change, but don't set your house on fire for the sake of change. IP: Logged |

I'm not an apocalyptic alarmist. Just like I don't think society is going to end because global temps go up a fraction of a degree in the next 100 years, I ALSO don't think this country will crash because we are balancing unfair trade practices that have been going on for decades. Doing nothing would have destroyed this country. The debt is too massive. Tough love is needed. All will be well. And China has gotten away with stealing intellectual property rights for too long. Trillions in new investments are pouring into this country. Manufacturing is starting to come back. Nvidea is going to move all of its chip manufacturing to the U.S. with a $50 million investment. We are starting to build ships again. And we are going to start making all of our medicines here. Harris would have bowed to China just like Biden did. Yes, there will be some turbulence, but it will be a smooth flight later. IP: Logged |

And stock markets are still down… This is not a “correction” but a direct reflection of the poor decisions Trump is making. He’s also threatening together chairman of the Federal Reserve. He wants someone in place that does whatever he says. This will make the U.S. an even more undesirable country to invest in. The stocks will drop even more. China is getting rid of their U.S. T-Bills and Trump wants to flood the economy with cheap money. Watch inflation soar while the dollar takes a nosedive and the U.S. economy crumbles. Trump is also threatening the UK that they won’t get a trade deal unless they repeal their hate speech laws. How is that “balancing unfair trade practices”? Trump keeps telling lies. The U.S. is losing their allies and most important trade partners. IP: Logged |

Powell is a political hack. He should be fired. His only job is to stabilize the dollar. The biggest driver of the stock market dropping is the fear-inducing media. Remind me—how many companies moved operations to the U.S. under Biden and spent billions? When President Trump’s actions take root, this country is going to flourish beyond belief. IP: Logged |
