ICE only arrests criminals? Without due process? And riots? That is a gross exaggeration. Newsom never asked for back up. And Trump lied about the National Guard. They weren't even in L.A. yet when he already tweeted they restored the peace. ICE executed military style raids after Trump threatened to cut state funding and Newsom replied he would withold federal taxes. Trump is an authoritarian. Gross exaggeration? Have you seen the footage? The police chief said they are overwhelmed. Cops are hiding under the bridge while their cars are being destroyed beside them by pelted bricks. Commercial grade fireworks are being shot at them. You probably think it’s a peaceful protest. Due process isn’t needed. If you are in this country illegally, you are subject to arrest. Most of these illegal aliens already have final orders of deportation that Biden ignored. And ICE operates with warrants. Newsom can’t withhold federal taxes. That’s not his money to withhold. Yeah, yeah, yeah! We all know the dems/libs/leftists want to have another 2020 "Summer of Love" where they rioted in the streets for months on end and terrorized people and businesses. We have seen what your "mostly peaceful protests" look like. Nobody is fooled anymore by the guilt tripping and the accusations of fascism and authoritarianism. People are spreading lies by posting 2020 footage. They want an excuse. Have you seen the footage of the Australian journalist being directly shot with a rubber bullet in the back of her leg? She was not threatening in any way. They are trying to get a reaction from the public. And most of all, Newsom did not ask for support. Leave it to the state to decide. Didn't Kirsty Noem tweet that in 2024 when Biden declared an emergency at the Texas border? This is authoranianism 101. That includes the military parade for his birthday too. Taking style tips from Russia and North Korea?

Newsom didn't ask for any support. The LAPD was handling it just fine. There is no rebellion, there is no legal basis for deploying the National Guard. Newsom needs to sue the Trump administration.

The fireworks were being shot at the police that were under the bridge. That was not footage from 2020. Yes, President Trump can federalize the National Guard. Code Section 10 USC 12406 was invoked by President Trump--rebellion or danger of rebellion. There is a danger of rebellion. Plus, rioters were throwing bricks at ICE vehicles as they drove by. The police refused to assist ICE when they were under attack. So, President Trump had every right to call up the Guard. I have already spoken against the rubber bullet shot at the reporter. It seems that the press is now being purposely targeted. The Australian reporter Lauren Tomasi was shot in the back of her leg and the footage clearly shows that was an aimed shot. BBC photographer Nick Stern was also shot in the back of his leg, but his injury was so severe that he needed emergency surgery. And a CNN reporter and camera crew were detained by LAPD. They have been released but are not allowed back into the protesting crowd to report on what is happening. RSF (reporters without borders) have also stated that reporters are being targeted with at least 27 attacks on reporters from june 6th to 8th. During the 2020 Summer of Love, I lived in a major blue city in a blue state where people showed their a$$es with "peaceful" protests that resulted in rioting, looting, burning.  I am so glad I relocated to a sane city in a sane state. I will be watching the blue states shenanigans from a distance, cheering for law and order! And this time, Law and Order will prevail!
