Hmmm, I don't think you women will be packing us men up for an off earth vacation any time soon. You see, it's men who are native to Earth and have legal possession through lines of descent from Adam, our ancestor. It's women who are the alien life form on Earth, introduced by the Gods as a joke on poor Adam. Bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh...indeed! There was poor Adam, in command of all he surveyed, growing his hair, naming all the animals, communing with nature and doing as he pleased. And then, Eve was introduced into Adam's world and immediately began to undermine his authority over the earth, questioning his orders and even going so far as to take the word of the subtle snake, an entity she didn't even know, over the word of her husband. Disaster soon followed as is the usual case when women don't listen to their husbands. I must give credit where credit is due, however. Women have harnessed men to provide all the things women desire. Men have spent their lives fulfilling every wish of women, designing clothing, scents, myriad's of cosmetics and cosmetic surgery to keep you looking young, implants to round out your figures and endless other things that had the time and effort been spent productively, men would have been sailing among the stars....looking for those Gods who played that trick on poor Adam. We will eventually get there anyway and when we do, we will find those Gods who foisted women off on poor Adam. It will be payback time and if there's anything we've learned well over the eons, it's the art of war. Surely, what the Gods did in the beginning was an act of war IP: Logged |

No figs down here Pixie. When I absolutely must have a leaf to hide behind this is what I use Well Pid, I can't believe any Leo could be that naive. I can hear the conversation..as Adam wakes up. "Who are you?" "I'm Eve" "Where did you come from" God made me from one of your ribs". "Right!" "Did you know you're naked?" "So?" "So, while you were sleeping, I found some cute little leaves to cover you up, don't you just adore this color?" "They're all green!" "Yes but just look at how it's cut, very flattering" "It chaffs my skin and looks ridiculous" "You'll get used to it". And so began the quest for fashion. How the mighty have fallen...if Adam could only see us now! IP: Logged |

Yang, I gotta say I've seen alot of nags of both genders, and in either case it is very destructive to a relationship. It becomes more of a parent/child relationship and invariably the 'naggee' gets resentful and rebellious and less and less inclined to do the 'nagger's bidding. Obviously that kind of dynamic is not condusive to the loving partnership we all crave!! (had it done to me) and Jwhop, how's your love life going with that attitude?!! Seems kinda sad, thought the goal was a true partnership, why must everyone strive to prove that we're better? Fact is we need each other, it's a sometimes hostile world out there, you know the yin to the yang thing (not to mention SEX!!) I love the differences, want to celebrate them, and if I've had my difficulties with men in the past that was mostly bad choices I made. So I say lets bury the hatchet and vive la difference!!!! ********snuggles up to jwhop and his large leaved friend******** I can't help it, I've a soft spot for um..... greenery. The most horrible thing about some relationships, is the mutual nagging. Oh, it drives me insane. The day I nag my man is the day I hope he throws me a look and calls me his mom.... Of course, if he does that, I will be forever silent to him, as my ass slides out the door. The other day, this woman was shopping with her man near me, and he was selecting some personal care products. She gave him a disgusted look and said "Can't you do anything right? You are so stupid.." blah blah blah.. a barrage of insults. He took it!!!! I just walked away, incredulous... laughing as it was so degrading and unbelievable.

Hm....all I can say, after reading this thread, is that mutuality is the one major thing that should be strived for in relationships. IP: Logged |

For what its worth, here are my answers, though I would hardly consider myself indicative of the everyman; if such a one even exists. Q. What makes you happy?
A. Sympathetic understanding, Empathetic communion, Being appreciated for myself. Q. What are the things you like most about women?
A. Emotional availability, Charm/Charisma, Passion, Compassion, Tenderness Q. What would your dream woman be like?
A. Alison Lohman Seriously, though, She would have a kind, nurturing, romantic, perceptive, non-judgmental disposition, and would be honest and direct in communication, without sacrificing either the truth, or the virtues of diplomacy and tact; She would have large, expressive eyes, and cutely shaped lips; In all honesty, she would be petite. Q. What sparks male infidelity?
A. Lack of Character Q. What makes a woman "marriage material"?
A. Constancy Q. What makes you fall in love?
A. The right girl. IP: Logged |

I think at very basic level, men want the things that they have been socialized to want, but every person is an individual in their own right, and what works for one guy may be exactly what another guy couldn't tolerate. They are all unique, just like women. Astrology helps us to see underneath all the "window dressing", and really understand how a person ticks - regardless of how he's been socialized. (or her for that matter)I think men want to enjoy being with their woman, not dread it. Whatever it is that makes him enjoy being with her, well you'd have to ask him. Of course, you shouldn't look into a man's natal chart just so you can personify what he wants in a woman, based on that, because you can only pretend to be someone you're not for so long, before you eithor blow your cover over time, or simply lose your sense of identity and flip out emotionally. Right .... uugggghhhhh!Who are we kidding - sometimes love makes us so crazy that we keep going back, hoping that maybe this time, the magic that brought us together would work again! Admit it, guys and gals, when it comes to love - true, soul wrenching, heart -pulling love, nothing makes sense and when it comes to that particular someone, logic flies right out the window! MM, why thanks! I didnt know you liked me!!LOL, thanks though for the huge hug and kisses and lotsa love on that other thread. Yeah, I really beleive sometimes love has the power to knock out the rough edges in a relationship and make the most odd couples stay together, inspite of trying circumstances .... I asked someone recently .... "Im a mermaid, you are an angel ... its great to fall in love, but where will we live?" And the answer, I found out later, was simple - love makes a place for you, and if you love strong enough, you will find a way! IP: Logged |
