Hey come on ladies,Yang is right. Can you imagine if men started slagging us with the same intensity, there would be W A R. There are loads of good blokes out there, I am married to one, have one for a father and would choose male friends over female ones any day - none of that horrible bitchiness - yuk no thanks, give me lads any day!!!!!

Jwhop, what is the species of that "fig"? I like indoor plants. Is it a Floridean native? (Not an Anthurium by any chance?)

Can't agree with the "either hungry or horny" hypothesis, though, it's not that simple.

It's not JUST women that nag. My husband and I nag each other to death. But I think that is part of being around each other too much, and having no money to spend on good times.

"It is wrong to think that Love comes from long companionship or persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of a spiritual affinity, and unless that affinity is created IN A MOMENT, it will not be created in years or even generations."
- Kahlil Gibran, from "The Broken Wings"

Love is, as Gibran puts it, a "spiritual affinity" - a meeting of two souls on a level that mere senses cannot divine, nor mind can explain. Love is not seen nor heard, and often goes unrecognized. Love is not in looks - it is in hearts and souls!

We sometimes call it "chemistry" - that attraction and reaction which occurs when certain people meet. If it's a sexual attraction but lacks a spiritual affinity, then it is Lust (Eros). A spiritual affinity without sexual attraction is deep Friendship (Agape).

Only when both are present can the attraction be considered a True Love. There will be some attraction in the first moments of meeting, and then a quickly-developing sense of deep friendship, romance, and desire. Only True Love has it all!

I think the whole nagging thing depends on who you are not what gender you are.

I'd never nag ANYONE. My mum's a Libra and is one of those women that can never be pleased. Nothing I did was ever good enough for her. I lived my whole life trying to live up to her expectations which was in vain cause she expected perfection. Now as an adult I still carry bruises of rejection and failure even though I have a good life. When you're nagged you feel worthless and unloved - well that's if your a child, but I'm sure it's similar if you're an adult. I can't stand seeing anyone being nagged, it's cruel. Then again, maybe I'm taking it too personally. I still love my mum loads.

Women aren't the only ones that nag, my uncle is a Gemini and he nags his wife to death.

As for the emotional thing - I have Venus and Mars in the 12th house. My friends and family and boyfriend have to drag my feeling out of me. I hate showing my feeling. I've got a lot of pride so to me, thanks to painful past experiences, showing your feeling is a sign of weakness.

I think one of the boys said something about weakness. You see, I think that and I'm a GIRL! Whose very feminin btw.

Just throwing in my two umm...pence

Sorry I just have to add this in. Despite all the nagging it turned out that my mum was always proud of me - we just had bad communication. I think it was due to her Mercury in Scorpio or something. Also I have Aries in Venus and Mars which is opposite to her Sun There was never a lack of love though - just had to say that cause I felt REALLY guilty.

maya -

I thought friendship was Philia, or something, and Agape was divine, selfless love.

Heart Shaped Cross I totally agree with you. The reason I hide my emotions is due to fear - I have so much I just don't want to scare anyone very few people can understand what I'm feeling and know how it feels to have a deep gap inside.

Oh God! I'm gonna regret saying that in the morning lol. The truth comes out of me at night

That's a common trait among the English, though, isn't it?

Anyway, I understand, and I think you'd be surprised how many people out there do. Find them, and pour yourself out to them unabashedly. Live deeply. Suck the marrow from life, as Thoreau would say. And do not come to the end of your life, only to find that you have never truly lived.

No regrets!

If I release my emotions I'm gonna drown the world Thanks for the advice - I'll try it in baby steps. First just drips of water - by summer it will be a waterfall.

If everyone hates me I'll blame you No I'm only kidding, only I can control my actions.

I'll try

LOL LS

ariestiger, the picture I posted is a type of giant Caladium called Elephant Ears by some, although some also call varieties of Philodendron Elephant Ears as well. Most things grow well in central and south Florida, including Caladium.

This is a variety of species Anthurium you asked about...of which there are many hundreds of varieties. This is a Colombian variety.

Your Scorpio Will hasnt run across an elusive fish moon yet, though has it?

And ... Ethan Hawke??? I just saw Before Sunset and its, without a doubt, one of the most touching stories I have ever heard and could Jesse be more Scorpio?

Which quote?
