When I first opened this thread, my head damn near exploded due to so many thoughts firing at once. I don't know if it's my Moon & Mercury in Pisces or what, but I have a hard time formulating written responses, and I don't particularly enjoy debating online. I feel like I have to put my two cents in here, though. I'd rather just post a bunch of links & a reading list. Haha.

First, I don't buy heteronormativity. I don't believe in binaries. Second, we are a nation built on a legacy of colonialism. I think we live in a pretty sick, twisted culture. (Where's the "post" in "postcolonialism"?)

What about discourses & how we attain our fragmented experience of reality? How do we decide what is truth? Where does it come from? Can we ever be apart from the environment and culture we were born into? How do we do that?

basically every episode the host tells 5 stories and you had to guess if the story was real or made up and they would tell you in the end what they were...there were some stories that were...well...beyond belief
