Is it a successs? A disappointment? Or marginal? People were predicting it would be the downfall of Lindaland, that it defamed Linda's name, and that I had lost mind. Clearly, Lindaland is thriving like never before. But is that just a convenient coincidence?IP: Logged |

In my opinion, this place is thriving because of the purging process, all together... so, I guess you could say Sweet Peas was a successful catalyst.IP: Logged |

I like it. It's good for things that are inappropriate for the other boards...Plus we all need a space to talk about such things. ------------------ He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. Thanks for the place to speak. People have the option to come here or not, In doing this you have created an inviting place for people to share. I think we are trying to create an order about how that is done without harming another persons free will, and vice versa.I do not understand how that can defame anything. No harm is done. Oh, and clearly if everyone is really this happy, How is that you have "Lost your mind" or that you are somehow "crazy?" I do not understand that, explain please? IP: Logged |

A success, despite all the fuss in the past.Linda addressed issues such as sex and suicide. She even shared her own experiences regarding these matters in Gooberz.I do not see this forum as deflaming her name in any way. Those that have read all her books would understand. I don't think you're crazy, people might have been shocked as you came out of your shell more - nothing wrong with that either. IP: Logged |

I really think a forum like this provides a needed service. In prior times, families stayed close.Extended family was there--grandparents,aunts ,cousins. Young people could talk to older people. WISDOM was around, available. Wisdom is so precious. The Bible says to covet wisdom more than silver or gold. Think of someone like Princess Di who had all the silver and gold but no wisdom. Hollywood abounds with them.I,for one, crave wisdom. The problem is the finding the few rare souls who have it. When I do,I pick their brains ------------------ Jesus never put his trust in man cuz he knew what was in man. You have to be strong enough to be gentle.Peace through strength,ALWAYS Me IP: Logged |

I do see a wide range of people posting in this Forum. Of course, a lot of people just stay in Astro 2. Not all Forums jibe with everyone, and that's okay. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Well,Randall, I meant that the people who hate it prolly have issues they do not want to face. Then, there are others who just do not resonate ,here, which would be different,I think. ------------------ Jesus never put his trust in man cuz he knew what was in man. A success!I am overjoyed Around the time of it's creation, it felt surreal. It flipped everything around. But it has settled in well, I love the people who frequent here so much. It's raw & real and it brings us closer together. I even had a few comments fly my way on email about this forum and it's 'filth'. I discovered the block sender button as I knew that this forum was exactly what was needed and destined to become. Thank You Randall. ------------------ “It’s an interesting thing. I was very sad about the Lindaland purge because a couple of people whose astrological skills were very, very strong and whose posts I learned a lot from decided to leave. (I don't think/know if they were banned.) Especially MyVirgoMask--her posts were always very insightful, and I learned an enormous amount from her. Sometimes it feels like the Lindaland population trends in one direction or another. (In the years I've been reading it, I mostly read the Astrology 2.0 and Soul Unions forums.) Sometimes it seems full of fascinating people who have a lot of astrological knowledge, and other times it seems to sink a little. We've been lucky enough to have some skilled professional astrologers visit the site--there was one here for a while who sort of blew my mind with her accuracy. It's always wonderful when the site ends up being populated by great astrological thinkers--or smart newbies who are curious to learn about astrology and are capable of real discussion and debate instead of just saccharine emoticons (not that that's mutually exclusive)--for a while. I'm not sure how/if the moderation could help that happen more often. IP: Logged |

I think the forum is great, yes, there is bound to be drama/beef thats what occurs naturally when a group of people from so many different walks of life unite for a purpose. However, I feel it should all be taken with a grain of salt, I've had my little mini squabbles with a couple of people, however, I don't adore them any less. I like to try to understand everyone's POV even though I can become annoyed lol. Anyway, all in all I think it's a great place, Randall. I appreciate you putting your trust in me being one of the moderators, it really is an honor and I intend to remain a good example to New/Knowflakes. It's very healthy habit for me and a great place to attain knowledge for just about anything. I even based my breakfast on something AG told me on my Evil Scale thread lol, if this isn't a productive and positive place for me, I don't know what is IP: Logged |

SC, yeah, those people were entitled to their opinions, I suppose. EES, you do a great job, and thank you. Lucia, we have always had great astrologers come and go. We attracted the best from the moment we opened. At this time, though, I think we have the highest concentration of both great atrologers and aspiring new ones, and it makes for a dynamic that Lindaland has never before experienced. That exchange of knowledge has taken us to a whole different level. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I like this site but feel my hands are tied. Why can't I post in some forums? Why are topics moved and why so many moderators? Just feels restricted and not at all liberal in freedom of speech. Although liberal in many viewpoints; unless you disagree. I don't like things to get nasty but a healthy argument is interesting and shouldn't be 'moved' away from the general threads.
