Lol at least he is now prepared for the POOF! I read this on yahoo. He's 100. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/18/former-mr-universe-turns-_n_1357319.html "Rippling his muscles and flashing a toothless grin, Aich says his ability to take his troubles lightly and remain happy during difficult times are the secrets to his long life." "I never allow any sort of tension to grip me. I had to struggle to earn money since my young days, but whatever the situation, I remained happy," Aich said, sitting in a room decorated with posters and pictures of his many bodybuilding triumphs. Great thread. I'm enjoying reading the responses.I wonder if this is the book you are talking about Kat: The Afterlife Experiments: Breakthrough Scientific Evidence of Life After Death http://www.amazon.com/The-Afterlife-Experiments-Breakthrough-Scientific/dp/074343658X I have it, but have not delved too far into it yet. Seems like a compelling book though. Will get to it eventually. IP: Logged |

Well it's worth noting that the US army has conducted experiments into astral projection. So they, at least, believe that consciousness can be separated from the physical plane. My understanding is that your body has to fall asleep while your mind stays awake in order to do it; the reverse of the sleep process (mind falls asleep before body). It's physically gruelling to do I've been told. Wouldn't know from experience. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I love this thread, too! Great images, links, and stories.I am optimistic about being an old woman, if I get that far. One of my favorite people of the last century is Tasha Tudor, a children's book illustrator, crafts expert and eccentric who really came into her own as an old lady. I'd like to be like her...spending my time in my 80's tending my goats, cats, dogs and vegetable gardens...planting flowers...shopping for antiques...drawing pictures, doing needlepoint, making puppet shows for friends and family, and having big old-fashioned parties. Really that old woman is my role model. She's a Virgo Rabbit and I'm a Cap Rabbit, and it all just clicks for me. That I might get ugly and live in pain and wretched loneliness doesn't even cross my mind. IP: Logged |

“So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. .... be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.”- Chief Tecumseh, Shawnee Nation i loved every word. the whole quotation (very inspiring) is available here: http://lifeondoverbeach.wordpress.com/2012/04/25/chief-tecumsehso-live-your-life-that-the-fear-of-death-can-never-enter-your-heart/

He's all about keepin it real or something. He was girly in person, the movie star. I'll dig up my clearer more professional photos at least when I had the same hair. Don't worry I will make sure I have a shirt on! He is taller by miles tho.Have it but haven't seen it lol! Full house is my fav tho for obvious reasons.
Hehe, Sand I'm into all kinds of guys. I don't discriminate, I happily accommodate ! Dennis is splendidly beautiful! An ultimate sweet heart with his Venus in Libra. I watch a lot of Korean dramas, so I spotted Dennis not to long ago and was smitten immediately. You have to post pics! From what I've seen of you, I definitely see a resemblance between you two beautiful boys. I have a soft spot for pretty boys. But they must have strong minds and be a bit rough around the edges. Dennis is the ultimate pretty boy. He's dashing in a suit. Fan Bing Bing, is one of my Venusian ideals. Just stunning! She's a Virgo but has 4 planets in Libra including Venus in Libra. She's gorgeous! Lol @ Full House. IP: Logged |

I love Katherine Heigl in that movie! Her character was so gutsy. I was not like that at all in my teens. That movie is hilarious. Lmao @ the mind. I can't help it. It's being an Air sign, the mind is so important and fundamental to me. That's just me though. Like for example, relating back to this thread, looks fade over time and it's why I value a strong mind as well as other character traits. But I can't fault pretty boys for being so pretty. I'm a Libra who's a bit of a narcissist. As far as having young tastes go, lol, well we like what we like. Some people just have this childlike quality to them which is very adorable and attractive. Even Fan Bing Bing have this innocent aura about her. Which just adds to her innate beauty. She's in her thirties but she looks so young. Dennis Oh looks very young also, even though his height does make him seem more his age. Having young tastes isn't creepy, at least not to me. As long as those young beauties are of an adult (over 18) age. Some people just look very young. Which means they'll age very well if they take care of themselves. IP: Logged |

I wish this attitude could be bottled. I'm on the path of dread, with a nod to the graceful path; I'd prefer it to be the other way around. IP: Logged |

I suppose aging and dying is a pretty terrible thought. As "natural" as it may be, it's still out of your control...this reminds me of this place, "the perfect world".It was some shining, golden utopia where everybody was young, beautiful, fit, smart. The society was prosperous, lived perfectly with their planet, science progressed rapidly and pretty much every month. Sound great? Well below the surface, any sort of weakness was not tolerated. If you couldn't contribute to society and the greater good, you simply died, or left. And I say died because most people committed suicide or were left for whoever would willingly take on their burden (ie a coma patient). This place's ethics and moral were vastly different. If you were too old to contribute "your share", you either survived off of what you managed to save, and became a teacher/professor, or you left. And get this! There was no law enforcement or legal, police-y type people telling you all this. It was simply how the society functioned and raised their youth (the ones that weren't born with mental disorders, that is). The person who founded and built such a place, built it on a philosophy: Why spend time and social services looking after the weak links in society, when you could put that effort towards nurturing greatness and genius? quote: We are born to die. A simple organic fact.
