Oh, was that your outside voice? You gotta just hate it when you make an ignorant remark borne of little to know facts and understanding and -whoosh- there it shoots off your lips or fingertips for all to see. Leaving absolutely no doubt as to your cluelessness. Just saying. IP: Logged |

LOL. Entitled to my opinions based on the kind of trolling behaviour we have seen here for years. If you are NOT, I would be surprised. And I don't make judgments lightly. Ask anyone. Enjoy your stay! IP: Logged |

I might respect someone's opinion more if it is from them and just them. No "we", as in " me and my friends have seen this before. And we'll be watching you." really? Then join Neighborhood Watch. This is about individuals and individualism. If not, then maybe changing the site name to " Conformity- In All Its Complexity.com" is in order. You have an observation, please, pretty please, with sugar on it, even - keep it about you and the person it's directed toward. The whole "it takes a village to bring up the child" collective mentality turns me off to any reason, or reasonableness, thereafter. Completely hypothetically, of course. After all...wait for it.....Just saying. IP: Logged |

To hang one's whole theory on one word... simplistic. I have formed MY opinion based on MY observations of the threads you have chosen to post on and the content of what you have said. I stick by my observations with each additional post by you. And I choose not to engage you further so prove me wrong, or don't. Have a nice day IP: Logged |

I'll try this with the smarmy sarcasm out of the picture because the message is important enough to me to deliver. I hope whomever gets it, maybe you, maybe someone else, passes it on. Hence the single word you think my previous reply impinged on was not in reply to that single word but the reply was meant for a wider and ultimately wasted audience. Your or anyone's opinion is owned by the person with one. But what YOU choose to do with it truly defines you. You are a moderator here. That is a position of responsibility, and generally one that commands high respect. Why? Because it is a position of SERVICE.And SERVICE is exalted. It is typical, for those whom don't know, for mods to volunteer their time to observe, to mediate, to ensure that the site as a whole operates well, that it exists with as few technical difficulties as possible and that relations amongst members are generally civil. As a representative of the forum that a moderator volunteers their time to help run, they are also part of the collective board "face" that the members see. A moderator, just like an an employee for a company can make or break the reputation of the icon they represent. So, you see what you choose to say about, or to, someone you do not know defines you and defines the forum. When you seem to be in empathy with a particularly small minded, blind, and hypocritically uncaring woman, all the while as she pins her negative traits and actions on others ( namely me and the moderators she called out in her not so subtle thread that was shut down with three entries ) you then offered your "entitlement" to me. I have to wonder what kind of group I find myself in and is it a community I want to continue participating in. Time is valuable, we are only alotted so much of it and wasting it upon activities that come to naught or in the fellowship of fools is not how I care to spend mine. I will say my spirit was rekindled as to my belief in others by the comments and chastisements offered by some of your moderating peers. The issue, or justification for the overbearing, hypocritical, self-serving, and self-absorbed rudeness by another member and what passes for a professional judgement on your part vis 'a vis: "I have formed MY opinion based on MY observations of the threads you have chosen to post on and the content of what you have said. I stick by my observations with each additional post by you." simply is not justifiable, by either one of you, but particularly by you, the reasons for which I've already covered. Could I use better judgement? better references in some of my opinions? More sense when coming in as a fresh face in a new community as to whether my approach will be understood or well received? Of course. That is not in question and it's not because I don't get it. What I don't get is the excuse for exhibiting far less judgement, class, and responsibility in deciding to react to my choices in the manner that the member did and then as you did, as if to say, "You Go Sister!" I can live with ignorant responses and boorish behaviour. But for you to encourage and validate that fool with your own influence floors me. Had I been here months on end, tearing into and short-circuiting countless threads and more than, let's say, 10 regulars complained about the dick screwing up their threads, I could see your perspective. But not after a spoiled, digital "loudmouth" took it upon herself to not only go overkill with no internal mental filter mechanism whatsover on my sophomoric humor but she insults your peers and has to be shut down. And then goes on to insinuate herself into an older thread she hadn't entered into before, I guess in her mind, to make peace by echoing my observations and then making it about her and her magnamity, right after asking me to respect her wish ( in an older thread she had the mods shut down for her ) not like I had a choice there. And I've stayed out of the thread that she went Sybill in because basically I can't stand the thought of posting where she might offer her intolerable ignorance. It grates on my temples reading every self-justifying insincere syllable she pecks out onto the screen. I smartened up quick though and avoid threads her handle is upon. Nobility on my part was not even an inkling in the offing. Maintaining my sanity was. So what you say you think about me- came through loud and clear. Nice touch planting the seed of whether I might, or might not live up to the standard of your good opinion of me. Don't flatter yourself. Whether or not YOU earn MY respect, while important to me is also irrelevant and not something I'll debate with you about later. But what might be important to you is what others whose opinions you do care about, think. Or maybe they don't care, I don't know. But I intend to find out over as short a course of time as is possible. Because whether I stay or go is determined by the measure of the company I keep.I know the measure of my worth. Do you know yours? S IP: Logged |

Just read this....Ghani I pretty much sensed/said the same thing and got in trouble for it. So be careful. I now think the person is a teenager and from another country, as I can't make sense of their posts.
I'm beginning to think they aren't simply a troll....just not great at expressing themselves because of a language barrier......or something. lol I'm not quite sure. Yin, nuthin. just missed ya.

I've just re-read the posts here a few times and am sort of making sense out of what this person is saying or it trying to say....?What the hell is going on? Who are you? or were you before? What are you doing? Why come to a board to stir up trouble with strangers? You must have better things to talk about... Are you a current member with a changed IP address, or one of their friends, a long-time lurker? Ya sure sound like it. There's nothing to be so angry about DBE. I'm sorry we bumped heads in the other thread. Don't hold onto that kind of thing!!! Geez. Move on and add some positivity to the site. See you around!

T, I've voiced my opinion through the "proper" channels as well, so I'm not all that worried. You may very well be right, DBE could just be a "newbie" but I don't trust it. That's how I personally feel about this poster and if I end up being incorrect, at that time, I will apologize. Until then, I'm not backing down on my impression regardless of what this poster has to say about it. Triple fixed sign, it takes a lot to budge me. LOL I don't like butting heads either, but when the "Spidey sense" tingles, one must respect that feeling. IP: Logged |

LOL @ "Spidey sense" Yes, you must respect and trust your gut feelings. I also emailed the proper channel the other night. Something I never do. I usually handle things myself and don't like to bother others, but in this case..... IP: Logged |

If one repeats behaviour there's no moving forward, no learning. I'll dive right in. I apologize, T, for not introducing myself, and for not considering the possible reactions to my off-hand remark that could be, and was, taken any number of ways when I originally offended you. Ghani,I respect that you defended your friend. That's what loyal friends do. And to you both, just as I laid into you for overreacting to my offense, I have to lay into myself for doing the same thing in reply to you. A bit of the kettle calling the pot black.
