I think it helps if you are writing to someone British  ...or someone who is big reader to begin with. If the dude reads books and talks about them, he'll appreciate the written word. Your question reminds me of this clip, from a British comedian I like, reading a poem his girlfriend(now wife) wrote to him to woo him

haha I'm picturing like two robots texting each other and the woman swooning or whatever in-love robots do. I could just picture a love-letter written in text speak. I'm picturing this elegant scroll saying something like b cuz i luv u want 2 b wit u n u R gr8 <3 I hate text speak and weird writing (like weird and random capitalization, strange spelling, etc., though of course I'm more forgiving if I know English isn't someone's first language and I can at least understand what's being said). Drives me nuts. I do make a game of trying to decipher it sometimes, though--I feel really proud of myself when I can figure out a really weird-looking message. Went ahead and gave my interpretation of what I saw in the composite. Hoping others will jump in, its good to get a variety of opinions. I also know what its like to be very much in love with someone and wanting their love to be reciprocated, and eager to find out  IP: Logged |
