I am glad the other thread was closed, I don't appreciate being compared to a mad man, it wasn't you who irked me t so don't worry. I can handle being disagreed with in a respectful manner, but I don't appreciate having unfair assumptions made about me,I hate how its constantly implied that I must hate women , which couldn't be further from the truth. I have seen women choose abusive men all my life and I have stood up to these abusive assholes to protect the women on a few occasions, I don't hate women, it pains me to see them hurt and that's why I speak up on this issue so loudly. I know lots of women stuck in this pattern and it needs to be taken more seriously. you may disagree that this is a serious issue, but don't dare say or imply I hate or dont care about women, my sister would have been killed by her abusive ex husband if it wasn't for me. yes I get frustrated at their choices in men but it is out of genuine concern.IP: Logged |

I popped back in to LL a few weeks ago. Posted on a couple threads. Missed you friend! If you ever want to chat, let me know. I lurk here and there. To keep peace of mind I do have to keep my distance from this place, but that means not getting to chat with gems like you. Keep being awesome and don't listen to those naysayers. You rule! Aquaguy, my sound advice toward you is to not get so emotionally invested in the opinions of others. Don't concern yourself with how other people view you. Who cares what the world thinks of you, all that matters is how you feel about yourself. You're a smart guy being an Aquarius, don't worry you've got nothing to prove to the world. And you don't owe the world anything. If people misjudge you, that's their own problem. If you tend to invest your emotions in discussions, then limit how much you reveal, set boundaries about how open you are with certain kinds of people. Until you're at a place where you're not so impacted by how others view you. RedScorp, I think you asked me something on another thread. Aquaguy felt uncomfortable and is glad that it was closed. I support the decision to do so. Often in our decisions to close a string there is communication off the site which plays a role in that.------------------

Natively Joan!!!!  great to see you again! Yeah, it would be really cool to chat with you. I havent chatted online in years, but would like to do that again with people once i get some things out of the way here (feeling really overwhelmed atm). I'd love that. We should exchange emails in the meantime. I'm working on a website, blog etc. We need to connect out of here in some way anyway. Hope all's good w/ you. Your presence just brightened my night.

K, that's great, but maybe next time a Mod could clarify something like that maturely if something like that is going on, rather than come into the thread the way she did, rather immaturely and make it seem like something else was going on (and like has gone on before).
If a poster wants the thread closed and has alerted Mods and you privately on FB or email and there is talk in the background, come out and say it and make things clear to everyone as to the REAL reason why a thread is getting shut down. Don't let someone be immature and play games and make a scene the way she did. Why not come right out and say what's up, if it's something that's talked about behine the scenes? I know the passive aggression is all some people know and can make for a highly trafficed thread, but it needs to be dealt with. The soap opera crap is not healthy for Liinda-Goodman.com. What gets said in private need not be displayed here. When it is decided that a string be closed, that is all you need to know. I only mentioned it since Aquaguy posted his issue here. Mods need not give a reason if privacy is a concern. ------------------
