well, you should consider getting a cat.

initially I wanted a dog, and on a sad day, a stray cat that I used to feed from time top time, jumped on my shoulders and sat there like the egyptian's sphinx, you know? she lives with me, and she's actually lying on my laps right now. She's been a nurse.

Well, cats are nasty: they stink and steal. They usually go to poo just when you have cleaned their toilets. You can't open a tin of tuna without having them meeawooing on their back legs. They climb at night on the cooker looking for any left-over. That is the speciality of my red cross nurse.

But you can't help loving them.

The feeling of loneliness is stronger abroad cause casual things are different but it is there even in our
own country. I live in a different region, although in my country, and I sometimes feel lonely. Felt I should say. Since my pets give me a sense of responsability. But I must admit that the
time of christmas and new year are painful when alone. Everyone around who has a family talk about it. Work schedules revolve around that. I know what you mean.

go for a holiday. There are places where they will celebrate with you if you look for that, and some other places where it will not matter.
If you are broke, you can probably go for a trip in unusual places. The thing is to reclaim/reappropriate these moments.

I was wishing that I'd invited you here, two nights ago. Now I'm glad that I didn't, only because things are nowhere close to being resolved. I thought a certain family member understood, but I've found out that they're so confused over my being so upset - they think someone is upsetting me online. (?????) WTF?

I feel like I'm speaking Swahili, or something.
