Yeah, but like others have pointed out, sometimes we need help from the outside too (that is something I have only recently been able to admit to myself). We are human afterall and can't go it alone all of the time. And I think it's great when people seek that, like you are doing. An open mind and heart can bring you a long way. Every relationship we enter into can help us learn alot about ourlesves. Even if it's only thru a superficial therapist type one. There can be a wealth of understanding to be learned about you and others through any and every encounter. It can take time to recognize it for what it is though. Maybe in the future, there will be more therapists availiable who blend a bit more of their mental left brained, and intuitive right brained....that can blend those two together. Because I think the is really what is needed to help people truly heal others at this point. We still seem to be in an infancy stage of healing here....with people sticking to one end of the spectrum or another. Afraid to go beyond the norm and blend the two. Until then... IP: Logged |

btw my last therapist was a so-called Jungian and that's why I picked him. I can not think of anything about his approach that was Jungian though. After a year of nothingness, I thought it was time to call it quits. & again, I think many of you ladies are much wiser and doing much better than you think you are. Maybe even better off in terms of spiritual/life wisdom than the therapists you might meet.. Not saying not to seek one out, but just recognize your strength too. Self healing approaches can take longer, but can often leave you better off in the long run. IP: Logged |

I'm sorry, I missed responses here. I should go, if my dad can be here to take me (although it cuts a little but into his work time). I both want to, and fear it. IP: Logged |

i dont think any therapists helped me. i was in a womens group therapy and it went round in circles. i think the best therapy and it was free was alanon. i think you are your own best therapist. and going to therapy is a waste of time when there are groups like alanon with cal literature that contains all the good psychology one needs.IP: Logged |

There is nothing really scary, Teasel. Your mind will not let you see what is too hard for you. That is why we have denial. God put it in for protection. You will just sit and talk to someone, like you talk to me or someone on here.------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/
