Topic: To what lengths would you go for love?

If you had met the love of your life, to what lengths would you go for that love, to earn it and keep it? What would you be able to give or make compromises of or sacrifice? What would you be willing to learn? And what would you refuse?.. ------------------

Oh lord...depends, I guess. I'm sure if I was lost in passion with someone, I would probably even move cities/countries and stuff. I actually fink I would do that with one person.Hmmmmph. I am a Scorpio Venus after all, so my feelings are a powerful thing, even if I have a cool, airy Moon to make expressing them mild. IP: Logged |

I find myself in concurrence with Redscorp, with the moving countries and cities. Scorpio Venus also, with an airy moon. Ultimately if it came to it, I would let her go, if that is truly what she wanted. I've learned, not easily, that Love isn't something you can take, Love is only something you can give. ------------------

I am in a Cold Mountain sort of situation. And I'm an Aries. Patience for love is.. very very hard. I wouldn't mind moving to another country, city, change religion, name, whatever, sleep on the ground and whatnot.. but don't keep me waiting without a bone to chew! lol And yet here am I trying to do it, overcome one of my biggest limitations for this. Isn't it amazing how love changes us, makes us better? quote:

Oh well hey! I have an Aquarius Moon square. Affection is an uncomfortable thing with me! Coming from a significant other. I'm okay with affection from friends. But in relationships, I don't know why, I want to keep them at a distance when we're with company. Like, say we were all watching movies, me + lover and friends. I wouldn't want to hold hands, or kiss, or anything! But if we were alone, completely different!  We have to be able to act like friends when we're around friends, essentially, because of my square. Oh, geeze... I've done so many crazy and even humiliating things for a "less than love" that I am honestly afraid to even think the things I would do if I had a feeling of "true love" for a significant other! XD Between my Sagittarius Venus, and Scorpion Mars/Eros, and 9h Taurean Moon, I think the Andromeda Galaxy 's the limit! what have I tried in the past to secure and maintain ---hmmm... literally, everything. I'm already living in another country because of my flighty-heart~ !!! But, yes... I've done some f-d up things... in the name of or pursuit of... whatever "love" is... I've already abandoned my family, my friends, our culture, and our religion, my entire wealth, my most cherished belongings, and my health, and sanity... more than once... ^^; And, that's the tip of the iceberg...  Thee's only 3 things I know for a fact I wouldn't do... 1) Leave my most precious, lil ram... my son, and angel... (definitely not whilst he's incapable of caring for himself!) 2) Defy my grandmother's (and grandfather's last) wishes... the family matriarch and patriarch, they were more so my parents than my parents were.... so I honour them, and all they've given to me... I don't care if it is selfish or wrong... I'd expect my partner, if they were so worthy... to honour them (and his own) as well... (Very Capricorn Sun-ish, very, very Sag Venus-SN 4h-ish) 3) give up my name... (my father gave me my first and my grandparents gave me my surname... I won't part with them, although there was a time before my grandfather and father had passed that I thought I may; in the first case it would have been because I'd always thought it was the orthodox thing to do when married, in the second case, it had crossed my mind, because of pressure from the lawyers here in Canada, trying to "make" our claim look "more legit" to the government... although the sacrifice of 5 years seems to have been enough to please them... silly lawyers wanting to get more loot by playing immigrants for saps... silly and sad.) for a lover though ~ even the wrong one... or bad kind... it's always been... they say "jump"... that kinda deal... /sigh ~pathetic... yes... I know... I am...
too forgiving, too mutable, too concerned with attempting to please everyone, and too much of a reckless, hopeless romantic sort, who really should be more guarded given my placements... although I try to hide it (of course), my heart is my weakness, and unfortunately or not.... I'm guided by it at least half the time! ^^; so yup... Andromeda Galaxy... that's my limit. >.>; ------------------

My last relationship (an LDR) has left me extremely jaded and feeling like a lovesick old fool.

Glad I realized I was being a fool before I gave up my whole way of life and burned my bridges and moved to another country.
It terrifies me that when I became mostly bed bound and having much blindness issues last April, until this past November;
that had I gone forward with things;
I would have been a divorced and stranded late 50s aged disabled person, and abandoned in another country with no way back to America, and nowhere/no one to return to even if I could have gotten back here.

I agree with this and what Hera added about having something to go by... I am a Scorpio Venus too but w a Pisces Moon. I can not be happy in a union without depth, love and passion. I literally feel myself to die when friendship exists but love is gone.
Love brings me to feel alive and joyful .. Able to conquer everything. But it does work out best when they love me more than I do them. The two times I fell in deep soul love, cared deeply and then became overwhelmed by my Piscean dreams & Scorpio passions. I prefer to have a bit of the upper hand and not be in a position in which separation would cripple me emotionally.

TOOO many...I have always given all of me, which has always left me dried up and bitter... This last one, Pisces/Virgo and ending neath this heavy Saturn transit to my Neptune in the 12th has left me way, way surrendered. I feel there is some issue with falling for someone that would make it hard to be together. I don't mean good or bad. Just stating my thoughts. Something in the natal is what I mean. Maybe Pisces 5th or moon square venus for me. IP: Logged |
