Does this attitude make u wanna not have them kids?

U know that stage where they try to act cool but r rly awkward and have their clothes actually picked out by mommy?

Ps no teens threw eggs at me today or anything.

No,
and for many teens that is normal.
We all had our awkward stages.
(like your attempts to try and be cool by writing in bad slang, bad English,
when you do know how to write correctly.
You come off like a rebellious teen trying to be cool, but you only look foolish/uneducated, or mentally challenged)
So your criticism of teens just seems weird coming from you.

I wish I could have birthed more children.
I was still trying to have more children, even when my son was a teenager.
He was the happy result of
my lucky 13th. pregnancy.
I lost 12 before him and over 13 after him.
My son picked out most of his own clothes from second hand vintage racks,
(circa 1920 to 1950 thereabouts)
and did alterations and custom tailoring as needed.
Also we reworked footwear as needed.
He also made much of his own clothes including formal wear.
When he went to model at John Casablancas;
they said he had the most tasteful and elegant outfits.
They thought his wardrobe had a value in the thousands of dollars range.
They were even more wowed when he told them how he acquired the clothes, and that it all cost under $200 for all 8 outfits.
He was only 15 at that time.

Eh, it's normal Peregrine, the only thing that does somewhat irk me is the way they sort of just assume "their" music or what have you is unique.

Since the 50's the music industry has cranked out acts aimed directly at that demographic.

Otherwise..mass of hormones reacting, don't expect rationality..if anything it is sort of funny

That is very true, most people tend to get stuck in an era of music and complain about 'new" music just not being the same.

Otherwise I have little problem with them, except for the Texting addiction.sheesh..you are a teenager..what is exactly so life shattering that you simply must message constantly?

"ZOMGZ, did you see..!!!

I find it silly.

Not really. I think it helps that I think they have an excuse and will likely outgrow it. Adults, OTOH, tend to be set in their ways (and all too many of them act like a stereotypical teen in many ways themselves, from lack of impulse control to thinking everyone who isn't into what they're into, perhaps even into back when they were a teen, is lame).

Though I do recall a magazine article that made me laugh. It was the first issue of Teen Cosmo, IIRC, and there was literally an article (didn't even try to disguise itself) for teen readers on how to get the parents to buy all the clothes advertised within it (and some methods weren't entirely ethical, IMO). That's so impertinently bold I can't help but laugh...but I'd never subscribe to such a magazine, no way would I reward that with my money (though OTOH, at least it didn't talk down to teens treating them as morons as some others I've seen do, which are also funny in their own way but I cringe if I ever see a kid seeming to like it).

I was not really that difficult as a teenager. I did take drugs and alcohol but I was not stupid like my other friends and got caught.. or did it in public..
I was nice to my parents but they also have me space. I did well in high school so they assumed I was doing okay.

I like teenagers, I think most of them are interesting, full of life, very funny.

I like talking to the ones who are okay with me being 20 years older than them. If they are creeped out by being around someone older, then hey~ the feeling is mutual, I don't want to talk to them either.

Yes but then I think I was like that too...Everyone tried fitting in so eh. I have a 14 year old neighbor who is annoying, she just squeals like a little pig, 'OMG Justin Bieber, so hot I want your babies' & a bunch of other nonsense. But then I think...No need to hate! She'll outgrow it & realize how embarrassing those days were. And if she doesn't remember in the future, then I'll be there to remind her

Now the teens who get into trouble...Oh you know the ones who push people on the bus (even seniors) 'just for fun'. I went to school with a lot of sick people & taking public transportation was interesting alright. From almost getting my hair burnt while I was napping because some jackass was bored with his lighter. I just roll my eyes at them...Hopefully they'll outgrow it.

Ouch. Some people like to let their hair down and type informally whenever they can, while others prefer to keep everything properly spelt and grammar-cised. Personally, I think he comes off as easy-going, even a little silly, but then again, I don't dislike him, Lexx.

Addressing almost personal slights aside, I only want my boys, if I have any, to not go through a douchebag phase (ie. swag, sagging jeans, pompousness/arrogance.)

I also see/sense a sweetness about peregrine and maturity mixed in with his fun goofiness and feel bad for him when some of you beat up on him.

I think it's an age gap thing and some of what he says doesnst come across properly to older generations....?

He's a good, well-meaning person. That i'm sure of.

I'm also impressed that he never fires back at any of it. Always keeps his cool and moves on his merry way.

Bull grazing in a field lmfao!

And I liken myself to a bit of a snake sometimes. Under a flower.

oh, sorry, i thought that was another dig, but just remembered the topic.

I've realized from other threads that you guys like to take digs at each other. I guess not this time.

Yes, teenage boys in their cars, glaring at other ones, revving up their engines, no good!

I've noticed you are very insightful and sensitive and remind me of many of the best Scorps I've known in my life. ....it's hard to put in words. More of a feeling thing....i recognize it. Most of you are sages in varying degrees. I see you that way. Wise, but still fun....still have a sense of humor, but keep your depth.
