sag/gemini.I never even bought an astrology book or a reading. did borrow some books at a library once. I don't believe in paying to learn something that has no material value to me. I don't want to make a living off astrology I just want to learn for my own interest... I've learned so much online and from articles its pretty amazing! I love diy tutorials. I made my own awesome dip dye sweater instead of cashing in 60 bucks for one I feel in love with at a store. Yeah I just love learning! IP: Logged |

Anything I wanted to learn or know about, I took it upon myself to discover and study and became quite knowlegable in those areas. I don't have a piece of paper to prove anything or huge student loan bills, but I know alot about a bunch of things now. It's not everyone's path, but for me it's worked. And I like it better this way. I don't want traditional schooling interfering with my learning process, tyvm. IP: Logged |

Ninth house Sun and 3rd house Gemini Really love learning new things, even the silliest of things like the weight of a propane tank when it is empty (there is a code on the side of it think "TWC 17.2" for pds empty so anything over that weight is propane left inside). I've noticed Cappies and Taurus's may not have a breadth of esoteric knowledge but when they focus in on something..they really know all there is to know about that subject. IP: Logged |

I agree with Sag and Gemini. Also will throw in Scorpio.Maybe I am wrong but the Scorpio-influenced people and those with heavy stelliums in that sign will stay up many nights just to absorb whatever knowledge it is they desire. They have a need to know, outside of formal education and such. IP: Logged |

Uranus on my MC is my firsts guess, for astrological reasons. Merc conj. Chiron in the 3rd? Hard to tell. Not all can be seen through the astro chart. IP: Logged |

We'd surprise you. I have more esoteric knowlege than anyone I've ever met, unfortunately. I should take a pic of my 'library'. You'd get the picture. IP: Logged |

What I had in mind T is Cappies and Taurus's may not seek it out, more akin to they have a profession but perhaps wandered before landing in it and picked up experiences during that wandering. My close Cappy friend for example, loved Dungeons and Dragons, and he would never have seemed the sort to have liked it at all. That's where my Uranus is, in Scorpio......and that was so me.....at different times in my life...up all night of spending weekends reading up on a subject, or spending days at a bookstore, just to really know what I wanted to know.....fully....inside and out.

While I'm proud of being self-taught in my field, I do sometimes wonder how different things would be had I gotten a traditional education.....interesting to think about anyway..... wasnt destined to be... I think I like it better this way anyway. IP: Logged |

Oh yes, being self taught is wonderful the downside is unless it is on a transcript then it as if it counts for not

Yeah, tell me about it! Luckily I'm not going for those kinds of jobs/careers/schooling anyway. Transcripts mean nothing to me or my life. Carving my own path. My way or the highway (career wise). If I wanted a steady paycheck or boss, it might be really hard. But I don't, so I"m safe. I did that for too long, and won't go back. IP: Logged |

IMO I think Capricorn/SagI'm very heavy Saturn/Cap/10th and my childhood pretty much involved teaching myself everything. I feel like personal experience is the best way to learn and I consider myself pretty wise for a 20 yr old. Caps being so independent rather do things themselves than rely on other people. I'm surprised by Cappie. I'd have thought Cappie would want the recognition of a diploma too much to bother with the effort better spent elsewhere (from his PoV) otherwise (though I did know a Cappie who LOVED documentaries, for what that's worth), and if they did educate themselves that they'd do so with a purpose other than the pure joy of learning. (I did know one formerly brilliant Cap self-learner, though he's degraded over the years, but I suspect alcohol poisoning is the reason for that.)Sag makes sense, however, with Libra & Gemini almost as motivated if with a different focus than Sag. I went to a community college briefly, before I realized what was actually going on ( i was learning nothing, terrible teachers and classes, and was eventually going to owe a boat load of money if I continued on with it and have nothing substantial to show for it - besides the piece of paper ). I had to get out quickly before it was too late. I don't count that stint because I dropped out so early and it was a waste of time, money and although i had 4.0 gpa wasnt feeling like I was learning anything that i could not teach myself. One of the better moves I made was leaving that "college".IP: Logged |

@PJEvery Cap I know is an autodidact, and none of us really cares too much about the diplomas...they are a means to an end. If all Cap cared about was institutional learning, we would be severely limited in our ascent up the proverbial mountain. For what it's worth, I've seen people from every sign teach themselves a whole lot; no sign stands out for me. IP: Logged |

T, I totally get that vibe from most colleges. Unless you are studying something like medicine, which you should probably have a little guidance on, I am quite sure you can teach yourself anything without needing to waste $$$$. But we are a capitalist country, and even universities are a business. Especially community colleges. Have you ever seen Community? (HILARIOUS) They make jokes about how it's a waste of time and just about the tuition $ all the time. In this country, you have to spend to make. Sad, isn't it? IP: Logged |

There is a lot of truth in that, at the CC I went to, literally the classes that actually taught useful things consisted of maybe..3 classes (Small Biz/Entrepreneurship, Accounting, Office 2010, Sales) otherwise a huge WOT. The things I enjoy (languages, personal management, self sufficiency etc) just were not offered in that curriculum. IP: Logged |

I read somewhere that Capricorns are often fascinated by the past and histories. This is true for me.I love to learn about archaeology, ancient civilizations and nature. Finding books in libraries, reading and making notes. Love the museums. I enjoy the knowledge, the excitement of knowing something about those subjects. Whenever I find a good book that is packed with information I feel my heart jumping up and down with joy, and can’t stop myself from grinning like this And I love to learn about my birth country's traditions and cuisines. I’m happy that I have a solid understanding of my culture. Other than that, I like hand-crafted things so I always find books/tutorials about embroidery/sewing/wood work/.....
